So after half a season of spinning their wheels, they hit the accelerator so hard they had to include a documentarian just so someone could keep giving the audience the current date? Weird. I'll keep repeating the Season 2 mantra "Maybe next episode is when the show gets back to doing what it does best like in Season One". I did like the mother reveal at the end - didnt see that one coming. The stag film bit? That I did see coming.

Yea, it seemed like that was the only reason to bring back the film-maker... to keep the audience aware of the date. I think showing the date at the bottom of the screen whenever the time jumps would've been less obvious.

So they jumped a total of 2 years within the episode.

As much as I thought Season 2 so far was a bit direction-less, tired and running on fumes... this episode really felt like the show jumped the shark. I'm not sure they know where they're going with it - and even if they do, it feels like they've exhausted the all the interesting aspects of the show. I'm not sure we're going to get anything more than soap opera type story lines - or at best, anything that sets it that much apart from other shows.

If things don't change much by the end of the season, I think I'll be bailing.
