Am I the only one still watching?
I didn't mind last night's episode, but - of course - it wasn't nearly as good as last week's. I HAVE found that I'm less concerned about why people disappeared now than things going forward, which I suppose is what the producers want.

I'm hanging in there. It's mostly decent, except the GR shit still. I've called them the KKK in the past...I think in that world I'd be more sympathetic towards the KKK than the GR at this point. I can only hope they are written this way for a payoff that sees them all stoned.
They just make no sense..."Don't save them." Fine. We won't. Just don't get all pissy when we don't, eh?

Still with it. But last night's ep had me zoning out a bit. I did like the parts with the Cop and Nora.
Since I feel like we may never know what happened...Scott Glenn's character feels like a major Cock tease. He seems to know something, in his mentally ill way, but I'm not sure where they can go with him.
Interesting to find out Wayne has Young Asian Baby Mama(s)...

This is such a strange and fascinating show. I'm really curious as to where they're ultimately going with the story.

I don't watch a lot of TV but I seriously anticipate each episode of this show. I really like the characters, like the settings, and like the storylines. I will be disappointed if this show doesn't get renewed (I'm bracing myself).

I was surprised to find out Carrie Coon is actually younger than me. Her character seems older than 33. She's pretty hot in a grieving widow/divorcée kind of way.

The show is trying my patience. The constant teasing about what's really going on is annoying - it didn't matter that I've read the book... they're definitely going beyond the books story lines.
I have no problems with depressing stories/story lines - but I get irritated by the constant self-pity most of the characters display. If you've lost someone, fine.. if you haven't - stop your fucking whining.
Yea, she's supposed to be roughly the same age as Kevin, who in real life is 43. Amy Brenneman is 50 - and she looks a bit older than that too. If I were in Kevin's shoes, I'd be thanking my lucky stars my wife went retarded and bailed on the family and I've got this hot younger-looking piece of ass.
Anyone else thing Nora looks like a younger/hotter Molly Parker?

So at this point the whole 2% of the world's population suddenly and mysteriously disappeared is completely an afterthought, is it not? The show has pretty much delivered what was promised - that the disappearance was not the focus of the show, and in fact from what I can tell the event could never be alluded to again and the show would be scarcely altered. And to this I ask: Then why on earth would I watch a such dreary show about dreary people moping about in full-on Kristen Stewart affected emo shtick? What is supposed to be remotely entertaining or interesting about that? Am I obligated to watch just because it's on HBO?

The show is about the after-effects and how people deal with loss. Now I am still on the fence about the show on whether its doing a good job showing each characters arc post October 11th.
My main problem with the show is that its all over the place, as there is just something missing about these characters from making it a great show. It's an interesting show, but its not one of the great shows that I would recommend to my friends like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad.

I'm sticking with the show...for now. Here we are, like halfway through the season, and I still don't know if I like the show or not. One week it's great, the next I really dislike it. I don't have a lot of time to sit down and watch shows anymore, so this kind of inconsistency is not appreciated.
At the very least, if HBO cancels it before the show has run its proper course (see Deadwood and Carnivale), at least I can read the book (probably the Wikipedia page, actually) and find out what this is all about.

I'm really liking this and look forward to more.
Although, I also stuck with John From Cincinnati and K Street...

Two or three weeks ago I read that the ratings across all repeats/on demand were going up each week and were at a good level.
Glad it will get a second season.

Not terribly surprised it was renewed. It's showing subtle improvements, so I do plan to finish off the season to see where they leave things off.
