Yeah I acutally felt that season 8 with Doggett was not *that* horrible

Also if they get back Morgan and Wong,those two were the best at MOTW.

John Doggett gets a bad rap because he wasn't Mulder...but I found that character to be really interesting.

Reyes though, I could live without.

Skinner is a must-have, I would think.

Didn't Reyes have something to do with the William story line? I am starting my rewatch of the series now after saying I was going to for several months now. Watched the Pilot and Deep Throat last night. Hopefully I will be caught up before the new show air.

Doggett only got a bad wrap going into the season because he wasn't Mulder. As things went along and now 13 years later, fans are/were pretty accepting of Doggett.

Reyes on the other hand never was nor ever will be accepted by fans. Just a horrible character all around.

Yeah I never thought Doggett was that bad and actually found him kind of refreshing. The show could have continued a couple more seasons with him and Scully. When Scully was getting ready to leave though that was the point that I was out and was hoping they would just let it die.

I just have to say this: More X-Files: Uber Cool. Only issue is despite having seen every episode I don't remember a huge amount of it anymore.

Duchovny stated that Skinner and the CSM will be on the reboot. Not really sure how the CSM could possibly be on it, considering he died in an explosion and was already terminally ill 13 years ago anyway, buuuuuuut....

According to Dalton Ross on EW Radio, they won't be allowed to show the CSM smoking because they weren't allowed to show smoking on Constantine. I'm pretty sure they did end up showing Constantine smoking near the end of the season.

The main problem I had with Doggett was that he read every single one of the X-Files in like a week. He must be some sort of speed reading mutant.

Hey! Doggett could be a MOTW in the relaunch! Mulder finds out Doggett read the entire Library of Congress in just 14 days and instantly figures out he's a mutant. Mulder and Scully chase him down in a dark warehouse and after they catch him, Doggett reveals that he's a human-alien hybrid designed to be a biological records keeper. And he has all the information on the alien conspiracy buried somewhere in his mutant brain, so they have to figure out how to get the info out of him. And then it ends with the story going nowhere and never being resolved (it is Chris Carter doing this, after all).

Dalton Ross is wrong. They're allowed to show smoking, some networks have just chosen not to show it. And this is FOX, so they'll be less concerned about being so PC.

There is no law about showing smoking on television. It's one of Hollywood's pet crusades to remove the glamor from smoking in television and films.
