I regret not catching Las Vegas when it aired. I only discovered the show in syndication. Kind of hoping Mill Creek decides it's worthy of a Blu-ray release.

Not worth bumping a thread with almost no discussion, but Sex/Life on Netflix that starred Sarah Shahi was canceled. She had already signed on to do another Pilot, so I think she was expecting it to get cannned.

Law and Order OC only got 13 episodes for next season. But, that show is more serialized and a shorter season is probably better.

Wonder if NBC is still thinking about cutting an hour from prime time. They could start it with fall 2023.

Since they renewed all 3 Chicago shows and all 3 Law and Orders, then that's definitely off the table.

They put it on hold until at least the 2024-2025 tv season. Due to all the logistics of contracts and scheduling they're having three hours of primetime for the 2023-2024 season.

The Good Doctor was renewed for a 7th season

I stopped watching it early in season 5. I think the show has gone on way too long now. And Highmore's Shaun started to get really annoying.

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Renewal and Cancellation News

Apple TV + canceled Jason Katims' new show Dear Edward after one season. It starred Connie Britton.

I'm the majority of you here either never heard of it or just didn't have time to watch it. It was poorly marketed

Katims' has had terrible luck with new shows after Parenthood was canceled. I admit, it was just one of the long line of streaming shows that I just never got around to. Just too many.

No surprise about True Lies. It’s been DOA for months.

I heard absolutely nothing about East New York. I heard it got canned for financial and issues with the streaming rights.

"We listened to our viewers"....now that makes me laugh.

Also...CBS has canceled True Lies and East New York. I'm not even sure I was aware of the latter show.

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Renewal and Cancellation News

East New York was yet another in a long line of NYC cop procedurals. I’m not surprised you never heard of it.

Only thing that made it different was it had a black female lead. The Deadline write up says it and SWAT were fighting for one slot. SWAT has a bigger fan base though with a very popular and charismatic lead.

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Renewal and Cancellation News

I've been watching ENY and it was pretty obvious it wouldn't make it to a 2nd season. It's character driven rather than case driven and the characters are dull AF. Not the worst show I've seen but I'll forget it existed soon enough.

I didn't follow ENY, but if you read the story, it was strictly a financial decision with cost and streaming rights. Not creative. CBS didn't make the show, WB did. Shows made by outside studios are always tougher to stick around unless they are smash hits.

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Renewal and Cancellation News

East New York and True Lies were blah at best. I watched both, and could really take or leave them. I certainly didn't expect either one to make it this far, and definitely didn't think either one deserved a second season. I will say that I am a big fan of Kevin Rankin from East New York, and I also enjoyed the performance of Amanda Warren as the female lead. I don't think I've seen her in anything else, and thought she was very good.

More cancellations. Big Sky was a hit in season 1. Guess people just didn’t continue watching.
