I really like both Dwayne Johnson and Rob Corddry, but I hated Ballers. It may not be the worst show ever produced by HBO, but it is easily the worst one I've tried watching.

I have not finished it but damn if seeing the preview for S5 didn't suck me back in... for a minute. Ballers is hot garbage but should be SO AWESOME.

"American Princess" canceled by Lifetime. I'm guessing I'm the only one here who watched it or even knows what it was.

The Pretty Little Liars spinoff The Perfectionists was cancelled after 1 season.

I never bothered with it. Just didn't interest me.

I don't know if it has been announced, but CW's The Outpost had this week's finale clearly marked as a "season" finale in promos and all signs point to it coming back next summer.

If so that's good news. It's low-budget but likable fantasy.

She might as well, since Whiskey Cavalier got canceled.

Prodigal Son got picked up for a full 22 episode season by FOX.

No one is watching here, so no point in bringing it up in a thread,

I tried. But in the first episode, a guy got his hands chopped off with an ax. In the second episode, something equally horrific happened, and I decided that life was too short to subject myself to that.

I watched the first episode of Prodigal Sun and I'm very surprised to hear it got a full season order. Fox doesn't seem to have much else that's new this year; maybe that's why?

I was fully expecting it to get pulled mid-season.

It also does well in the DVR+3 ratings, as does "Stumptown".

Wait, so the show with the guy getting his hands chopped off is not the one called "Stumptown?"

Correct. Stumptown is the one with the woman from How I Met Your Mother as the lead.

Prodigal Son is the sun of a murderer detective show. He's the one who chopped off a hand to save the guy.

She's also a major player in Avengers lately too. Shocked she has time to do TV shows.

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Renewal and Cancellation News

Deadline reports that Sunnyside’s episode this week will be the last aired on Network TV. The remaining eps will be available through NBC’s streaming platforms. I do not see Hulu on the list but might be bothered to watch the remaining episodes via NBC’s app via a tablet (I find half hour shows much easier to watch via my iPad vs hour shows which I usually hope I can catch up on using Hulu which I can view on my tv).

They mentioned other digital platforms so Hulu is more than likely included. Also, they are evidently making all 11 ordered episodes.

Cloak and Dagger cancelled at Freeform.

https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/clo...rm-1203382945/

maybe it’s due to Disney+, but that network can’t seem to keep anything afloat. They’ve had a lot of good shows that they cancel because of low ratings, even thought they have managed to assemble really good ensembles. I don’t think their brand change from ABC Family helped.

Re: The One and Only TV FAQ Thread Plus Renewal and Cancellation News

I think the brand change was disastrous, but they apparently thought the ABC Family tag was damaging their chances with young viewers. The network hasn't had a real identity now in years.
