anyone else w/ DTV getting hosed by this cutting off early? both episodes said i've recorded 1:15, but it got cut off at 1:05. so fucking annoying.

Yes! It happened to me last week. Haven't watched last night's but it sounds like it happened again. Have you noticed how this always happens to shows on FX? I know it's also happened for Justified & The Americans. Directv must not be getting accurate guide data or something.

The cutting short happened to me a couple times with Fargo. No idea why it happened so randomly.

Great episode. Makes one really look forward to what is to come.

The weird thing about episode 1 is that it froze and then stopped at 1:05, but the DVR clearly showed there was about 10 minutes left. Strange glitch. Sucks to hear that episode 2 had the same problem.

I think the glitch acts that way every time. After getting burned twice on Fargo I now study the progress bar very closely during the first 10 minutes or so to make sure the progress looks correct. Each time it cut out I turns out I could have seen it was coming by watching the progress bar. If I'm going to have to watch it via on-demand, I want to do so from the beginning. The no FF when using on-demand is a real bitch when you're used to DVRing everything.

Oddly I had no problems with Fargo. Fx is usually the channel I have the most issues with. I just added a 15 minute buffer to this show so it doesn't happen again.

Bruno Bichir, Demian's brother, was the suit in the meeting at the end with the drug lord.

I really liked this episode, so much that I went to Comcast OnDemand and watched the third episode. If you have Comcast they are releasing the new episodes one week in advance. But I will wait for next week to talk about it. Bonus: confirm and reconfirm your DVRs if you are a fan of Diane Kruger. :)

Anyways, Demian is getting more comfortable with his role and is becoming this big character. If he keeps this pace, he may be a contender for an award at the end of the season. He's doing great right now.
