In the highly anticipated season finale, the clock ticks toward the final seconds of Jack Bauer's most heroic day. As the world teeters on a terror plot of mass proportions, Jack and the team reunite one last time to avert an imminent international crisis. With little time left and the fate of the free world on the line, Jack is faced with an unthinkable and grave decision. Lives will be lost and the American administration will grapple with the day's most devastating news as the clock stops in the all-new "Day 9: 10:00 PM - 11:00 AM" Event Series Finale episode of 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY airing Monday, July 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (TWF-912) (TV-14 L, V)
Cast: Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer; Yvonne Strahovski as Kate Morgan; Mary Lynn Rajskub as Chloe O'Brian; Kim Raver as Audrey Boudreau; William Devane as James Heller; Benjamin Bratt as Steve Navarro; Tate Donovan as Mark Boudreau; Michael Wincott as Adrian Cross; Gbenga Akinnagbe as Erik Ritter and Giles Matthey as Jordan Reed.
Episode 12 of 12

To keep things optimistic, FOX has named Gary Newman and Dana Walden the new co-chairmen of the FOX network. They run 20th Century FOX TV, which produces 24 and were responsible for getting 24 back on the air. So who knows, maybe they will greenlight another season.

Sad to see this finish up. I have really enjoyed this season. I think only having 12 episodes really helping the show out, much like it does for the pay cable series we all rave about.
How were the ratings for this overall this season?

For the end I'm hoping for an awesome epilogue where something crazy happens and then we get the clock followed by a message from Kiefer Sutherland telling us that 24 is coming back early next year.

If 24 DOES come back (and I don't think it will), it will be at least 2 years.

Shame there isn't a none of the above option in the poll. I don't think anyone will die except Cheng. Maybe Audrey, but it would be nice if they let her live and give her a "FU" scene where she tells off her husband and goes off with Jack.
And a new season with Kate and the other new, surviving, cast members would be awesome. But I'm good with it ending tonight as well.

I'm not expecting another season. Lets be honest, this season was born out of a failed movie attempt. We got another story with Jack, and hopefully more closure this time. I will be OK with it ending.

Not really sad about this being the last episode, only because I viewed these as 12 bonus episodes.
I already made my peace and said farewell back in 2010 haha
But of course I always welcome more 24, so I would love another miniseries - maybe a Renee Walker prequel

Spoiler:
That is just the image placeholder for the DVD version on Amazon. But since it does have the blu ray logo, I would bet we get a blu ray announcement soon.

I'm ready to say goodbye now. I've loved and gotten very annoyed by the show over the years but have to say that this bonus season has been great and I'm really glad we got this run, as it seemed incredibly unlikely for a long time. He's one of the great TV characters, an icon if ever there were one.
And if they go ahead and kill Jack or Chloe at the end, I'm going to complain worse than the most devoted HIMYM fan. But they won't.

There's no way Jack can just "retire" right? This guy is enemy #1 for a couple of countries and numerous terrorist organizations.
I have a feeling something bad happens to him.

Even though it would be nice to have a "happy" ending with Jack & Audrey together, I wouldn't expect anything less than to see a burning plane falling from the sky with Kim and his grand kids in it as he yells "DAMMITTTTTTT." That's just the 24 way.

Guess I better continue binge-watching earlier seasons to catch up. I'm only on Season 2, episode 2.

I'm actually surprised they did that. But... I guess I shouldn't be as they've killed off almost every love interest of his.

I was expecting them to shoot Jack or he had a bomb on him that would destroy the chopper once it took off.
