Hell yea! Cheng is back! (I'm Chinese so I always liked when it was Bauer vs. the Chinese haha). My cousin probably ecstatic as well (also a 24 fan), since he met Tzi Ma at a restaurant in LA before.

I thought the remaining episodes were gonna be a dud since the main terrorist plot was over, but I'm still impressed.

And having Bauer getting punked by the Russians as well. All countries are in the sandbox playing today.

Great episode. Jack and Kate were in full badass mode. Love that Navarro got screwed over.

Pretty stupid of Tate Donovan to give up Jack, but especially at that point in time. Plus it was hilarious that he was shocked that Jack was involved in the tactical operation. No shit? He's been there since the beginning, you think he's just going to go take a nap with the device still out there?

Also I (and others) thought that Navarro's mole thing was some crap to throw in with the husband, and I wanted it out of the way since the other analyst guy was dead weight. But now that it's all connected, Navarro really got hammered for a lot of stuff.

According to the "experts" at Entertainment Weekly Radio since the ratings are low and "no one is talking about" this season, they said they don't think FOX would order another season of 24.

i haven't seen any overseas 24 ratings, but it was huge in the past. i think with everything shifting to the way ratings are + overseas ratings, it could possibly get more seasons.

"No one is talking about this season" IMO is highly subjective. The 24 Facebook page has almost 5M likes and I see 24 being talked about all the time on Twitter. Also, 24 is getting alot of coverage in the media. Again, the Nielsen numbers aren't really giving the big picture. 5.5 to 6M viewers per week on FOX during the summer, which isn't the most watched period for live television in general isn't bad. I'm sure there are plenty of people who haven't watched a single episode yet because they want to watch all 12 hours non-stop binge style. People are choosing to watch 24 in different ways these days.

EW is clueless. The show has been getting solid numbers in both number of viewers and in the 18-49 demo. And to say no one is talking about it is just silly - it's probably the most talked about network show on social media right now. It's gotten MUCH better ratings that some of the shows FOX renewed this season (such as THE FOLLOWING).

Seeing the reactions of others to Chang's surprise appearance, I suspect last night saw a collective audible exclamation across America of "What. The. Fuc*?!" like few others in all of history.

Me? Damn do I love this - we're not just going to get the Russians and closure there, but the Russians +/versus Chang and the Chinese?!? Gonna be two crazy final episodes... Is there any mumbling/whispers that this might not be the end of 24? I've been having a bad feeling, considering the amped up nature of this season, Jack might not survive in the end of this current mess. Likewise, I haven't been bothered yet to see if there's any news of what, if anything, might come after this season.

This has been 24 at some of its absolute finest - now the drone override and Al'Harrazi plot seems so obvious; that it was abruptly stolen, while all along bigger plans were in store for it. Considering how 24 used to frequently seem as though the staff writers were making things up as they went along, the level of detailed planning and logical twists+turns has been a genuine bright spot this year.

Show is ramping up nicely. It's a lot easier to forgive absolutely inane plot contrivances when the show is this well paced.
