Does anybody think Barbie's message to Julia was actually "Don't jump ... into bed with someone else."?

Same here. I think I quit watching at about the same time. Not even the unintended humor was enough to keep me around.

I'll put this as simply as possible. Anyone missing Under The Dome deserves to have their children taken away. Man does not live by bread alone, but by falling pink stars.

Re: Stephen King's Under the Dome - Season 2 Discussion - CBS

I started making notes of all of the stupid dialog and ridiculous plot points from tonight's episode so I could post them but I just stopped. There was so much it was becoming too much like work. Plus some of it only becomes completely ludicrous when taken in the context of the series and characters' past events, and I didn't feel up to documenting all of that. So for this I apologize to the thread and leave off with this summary: Insanely idiotic.

Tonight's episode was the most monumental hour of television this century. There are some moments that leave indelible marks on the national consciousness. Lucy giving birth, the Apollo Moon landing, Johnny Carson's final Tonight Show. Under The Dome joined that illustrious group tonight with so many shocking developments in one episode, my mind had a hard time wrapping around things in the final fifteen minutes.

In one episode we got

Spoiler:
The Dome is actually the Smoke Monster from Lost.
Sam is still one creepy dude.
Julia would forsake the whole town for the love of Barbie.
She can also perform weird calisthenics in the background of scenes while other characters talk.
Big Jim had yet another epiphany.

My mind is still reeling from these revelations.

Best pick-up line of the year by Junior, Let's go protect that egg together.

We also learned from Art 101 that doors always symbolize entrances.

Re: Stephen King's Under the Dome - Season 2 Discussion - CBS

I thought Monday night's episode was the best one all season.

Plus, it was directed by RoboCop!

I like how Melanie is all "Hey, Junior...come lie next to me on this bed." And Junior's thinking, "Yeah, the same bed I chained my last girlfriend to."

Maybe Lyle didn't know how to swim, heh?

See it from Melanie's point of view. She has come back from the dead, she doesn't know why. For all she knows, she could vanish again if the dome went down. She wants the cock and she wants it now ! so why not Junior, hes young, very dumb and full of cum.

I've really warmed to Dome Girl™ over the season. Her stiff line readings remind me of high school theatre. Here is a threesome scene cut from broadcast with Joe, Norrie and Melanie:

Re: Stephen King's Under the Dome - Season 2 Discussion - CBS

Welcome back folks! It's time for the second issue of CHESTER'S MILLINGS, your favorite newsletter for all things that may or may not actually be happening under the dome.

FACT OR FICTION
Pick out the events that may or may not have actually happened on the show ...

1.) Nothing. Absolutely nothing worthwhile happened. We saw a red door and we want to paint it black.

2.) Sam confessed to his sister that he did kill Angie. Sam tried to blame this on Pauline's paintings, stating he mistakenly thought the paintings told him the Dome-tactic Four were the kids causing the dome. Moments later, while debating the validity of Pauline's painting "Red Passage to Nirvana (aka, "Look Mom, I Painted a Red Rectangle") Sam emphasizes how Pauline's paintings have never been wrong.

3.) The smoke monster from Lost appeared. Dwight Yoakum drowned and nobody gave a shit. Big Jim added "cue card technician" to his ever growing resume and asked Rebecca to build an egg detector. Exact quote: egg detector.

JOB POSTINGS
We are pleased to announce the position of "Village Idiot" has been filled in Chester's Mill. In fact, we are pleased to announce the town council has opted to declare every resident an honorary "Village Idiot."

Re: Stephen King's Under the Dome - Season 2 Discussion - CBS

As I prognosticated long ago in this very thread, Barbie is deeply connected to Dome Girl.

The egg detector exchange was some of the greatest dialogue ever uttered on television. It saddens me that Rebecca and Big Jim are drifting apart. Her science and his old-school car salesman's ways are a perfect combination to lead Chester's Mill into a new era of glory and fame.

Re: Stephen King's Under the Dome - Season 2 Discussion - CBS

Well that happened. This show is such a massive Möbius strip of clusterf*k that I don't even pretend to follow what is supposed to be happening plot-wise. I only watch for those amazing shots of Julia...uhm...running? That was one of the most unathletic things I have ever seen.

RIP xDJ xSherriff xInmate Phil - the occasional bullet to his center body mass was one thing, but a through and through stalagmite was one gaping chest wound too many.

Re: Stephen King's Under the Dome - Season 2 Discussion - CBS

It doesn't matter now but Big Jim wanted to trade the egg for the safety of his family.

A moment of silence for DJ Phil, please.

Now that you have all reflected on his untimely passing, let us remember the good days when he was a simple disc jockey playing bad Jazz.

When looking for the appropriate picture to honor DJ Phil, I found that searching "in memoriam" on Google Images returns a rather eclectic batch of results, including a surprising amount of nude images and this strange tribute to Christopher Reeve.

Another review is up mocking the show, which should be outlawed in this enlightened, post-modern society of ours. Nothing this brilliant deserves that kind of scorn and ridicule.

So how long is it before Julia is pregnant? Remember, the showrunner claims to have at least five seasons mapped out.

FIVE SEASONS!?!?!?!?!

Seriously, can anyone just tell a simple story without having to run it into the ground. To me this is a limited series type idea or could have been just two yet they are dragging things out a bit. The out of the dome stuff helped a bit.

as someone who bailed on this show after about 2/3rds of the first season, have they divulged what "the dome" really is?

It's the Smoke Monster from Lost. If you think I am speaking in jest, watch the second season.

LOL, they can't even keep up any sense of logical continuity within five episodes, let alone five seasons.
