I agree that the magic band aid was a nod to fans. It would have been easy enough for Jack to throw two stitches or glue the incision with Derma Bond. Certainly if he could remove the tracker with a scalpel, he could do that. Do Presidents really have that sort of a locator inserted into their arms?

When did Jack learn to fly a helicopter? I remember him once taking a helicopter ride over 100 miles from L.A. To UCSB in like ten minutes, but he had a pilot for that ride (as well as others I seem to recall).
Jack hijacked and flew a CTU helicopter during season 8. If you look at some Jack bio's for his background, he has past training with the LAPD, Army, Special Forces and CIA. He definitely would have the training to fly a chopper.

Jack Bauer once flew one of those coin-operated helicopter rides that you find outside of K-Mart. He didn't even put in a coin, just backhanded the machine like The Fonz.

Plus he has a BA in English Literature. All English Literature majors know how to fly helicopters. They also are very good with language, hence lines like "Wake the bitch up."

Wonder who the VP is. Probably somebody who hates Jack, renegs on the pardon, and orders Jack arrested and turned over to Russians.

With the revelation of Heller's Alzheimer's, I am deeply saddened that we didn't get to see a return of the Cabinet Vote software from Day 2.

Still holding out hope for Behrooz.

never in my life seen a band-aid applied after flesh was cut into using a scalpel, lmao

and on top of that, talk of jack being a surgeon...all i could think of is jack gutting that russian dude that killed renee to retrieve the sim card from his stomach

i think the only other time jack called a woman a bitch was when he choked out starbuck.. just sounds so good when he does it

kate just keeps imitating jack, she was actually better. had the gun right in the docs gut

kinda sucks that the young agent outsmarted the assassin only to get stabbed, i hope he actually makes it calls kate and let her know navarro tried to have him killed

so jack gets pardoned...hehe

audrey knows its jack who was with him

wonder what happens now that heller is gone

not enough eps left for a 2nd plot

man chloe really loves jack alot, cross needs to move on with that bs before jack has to put them hands on em

He also flew one in ep. 1 of S5 to go rescue Chloe.
I mean, it's Jack Bauer, so...

This all takes place in a days time - the time jump will only be a few hours. We should see news of the VP taking over/being sworn in but not Hellers funeral - no way they can whip that all-together in that short of time.

A Presidential pardon is a Presidential pardon. Can't be undone. I suppose he could still be given to the Ruskies though.

You're assuming that pardon doesn't -ahem- "go missing."

I wonder if we'll even see the new President with four episodes to go...he/she may only be mentioned by name...it's not like there's time to get them to London. Maybe that's what the time jump is for.

I wonder if Selina Meyer is the new President.

Heller could have e-mailed the Pardon.

I think Chloe rigged a feed to the drone and Jack got Heller out.

Jack just called Chloe, told her the make and model of the copter and she downloaded it to his memory.

We'll probably find out that it was an elaborate plan to fake Heller's death by using a holographic image.

That's why there was no silent clock.

Heller's dead. Each season of 24 (usually) kills off a lead character...Heller was the one this season.

Stupid Agent Reed. I kept thinking he should have put a bullet in each shoulder of Navarro's assassin. And why not pull the gun from your waistband BEFORE getting stabbed? No way they can reach him before he bleeds out.

I was wondering why Jack didn't just fly the chopper into Wembley which was conveniently lit up for some reason.

Also I hope Reed is dead and Navarro gets away with this, and gets back to the main task, since I don't care about that storyline.

They wanted Heller to come into the stadium alone.

beginning of next episode:

Heller standing with hands in pocket, looking up, then closes eyes.

Eyes open, sees conference room full of advisors along with jack, looking at him questioningly.

Heller realizes the last 20 minutes...were all in his head; suffering from bout of distorted reality.

David Palmer died at the top of the hour, not the bottom (like every other important character in the history of 24).
