I feel like this show is so far from the promise of the first season.

My wife and I still enjoy the show as what we always liked was the interaction between Harvey and Mike. However,

Spoiler:
We don't like that Mike has left the firm and is not "acting" as an attorney now. That was the whole premise of the show!

You have to hope that Mike gets fired and comes back to the firm. Otherwise you're right, the show has changed too much. Mike being a client of Harvey doesn't work on many different levels.

I think Mike will eventually make his way back. He and Sidwell seem to have a really tense relationship, especially based off his dealings with Michael Gross.

Very busy episode last night. So much plot to digest. You can't only half pay attention to this. Now we also have Jessica's new lover as a potential new employee at Pearson Specter as well. And now Rachel's former lover is Harvey's new client.

But there was a lot of eye candy. The hot scantily clad chick that Harvey slept with, Donna of course, and Mike's new assistant. Btw, I loved the Donna Lexus commercial near the end of the broadcast.

Nice pad for the SEC dude.

The Donna Lexus commercial was great. I hit play during FF of the DVR. ;)

The Game of Thrones reference was the best part of the episode.

I can picture the whole season now: Mike and Harvey fight tooth and nail over this hostile takeover. Lots of dick swinging. Rachel is trapped in the middle between Mike and Pearson/Specter. In a moment of weakness, Mike will have an affair with his secretary, Rachel will retaliate by sleeping with Harvey's client/her ex/Mike's rival, which will cause a huge argument. Mike will either get fired from Sidwell Investments or quit when he realizes how slimy and unethical his new boss is and come crawling back to the law firm to resume being a fake lawyer.

Somewhere in all of this, Louis becomes a named partner.

I really have no clue about how this whole takeover works and how the players are aligned, but entertaining nonetheless to see Harvey and Mike on opposite sides.

And Litt always entertains. rotfl

Louis: I eat cock for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Yeah that's right, it's God damn delicious.

OMFG, I was literally in tears after that line.

Louis vs Wayne Palmer is fantastic. I also loved his mock presentation at the beginning.

They have definitely set up 2 dynamics now. Harvey vs Mike and Louis vs Palmer. Gone is the Harvey vs Louis dynamic which is ok.

Clearly the whole bit with Rachel stuck in the middle will be the cause of her and Mike to break up.

Still the best part of the show is the interaction between the characters.

I am surprised they went where they did with the whole Louis and cock bit. Good thing this show is on at 10pm ... yikes. It was damn funny though.

Louis is such a terrific character, such a hard-nosed shark on one hand, and utterly fragile on the other. Like when he was writing in his loss diary. Laying on the couch, feet up, just a like a teenaged girl.
And not only not beating an eye at his "cock" statement, but reinforcing and completely owning it.

Maybe the reason it's not always Harvey vs. Louis now is a testament to how popular the Louis character is. Obviously, he can't win against Harvey, so he needs a new opponent.

Kinda getting tired of how the A & B stories in an episode are basically the same. Same conflict, same messages, same outcomes.

I liked Donna's file on Louis. Other than that, I don't get what Mike is trying to do. I thought he was in the business of making money as an investment banker, when all he seems to be doing is keeping Gillis' company from making any.

This is about Harvey vs Mike nothing more.

Frankly tired of it already. It will divide them and split up Rachel and Mike. Kinda bored with this story at this point.

Although EVERYTHING with Louis last week and this week is great.

 Yeah the stuff with Louis this week was awesome as usual.

 at him thinking that Malone was in love with him and later getting pissed at him for using that to get him off the case.

I kind of miss the bromance between Harvey and Mike. Now it's like every week they want to tear each others head off. Michael Gross' character is absolutely repulsed by Mike.

I also think that Mike will get canned as an investment banker by the midseason finale and find his way back as a "fake" lawyer for the 2nd half of this season.

Re: Suits (S4E03) -- "Two in the Knees" -- 6/25/14

I just don't see that happening, but I also don't see any longevity for the show now. Mike is stuck. And Harvey has to go back to being the bad ass prick of a lawyer he's supposed to be.

Agree with everyone. Still don't like that this season is Harvey vs Mike. I hope it doesn't drag on all season.

Yeah, this season is filler. We all know Mike is going to be back at PS by the end of the first half of the season.

I liked it last week, but I definitely don't want it dragged out, and I'm with devil. I had no idea how this company fight was being played out. It makes little sense from Mike's/his employer's perspective and how he's acting a pseudo-inhouse lawyer for them. Just don't understand it.

And Louis still rules.

Re: Suits (S4E03) -- "Two in the Knees" -- 6/25/14

It's just so laughable now at the amount of conflict of interest presented in this. And with Mike now out, although his company keeps buying shares in Gillis' company, which he refuses to sell for profit... I just don't get it. And at this point, his secret is no longer a secret and it will come back and bite everyone in the ass, especially Pearson/Specter.

I kind of expect Hardman and Darby to team up at this point to bring them down out of spite, when Scottie goes crawling back for her job with Darby.

I was also disappointed there was no Katrina this episode. Amanda Schull is one fine woman.. a white girl with a booty. :hump:

Re: Suits (S4E03) -- "Two in the Knees" -- 6/25/14

^ I think they made a mistake not resolving the original premise of the show somewhere along the way. Even if it was some ridiculously crazy solution that made everyone roll their eyes, they could have moved forward with the show as it has good characters and dialogue. Now it seems like the endless how do they bring up the secret and how do they operate around it.

Also while Louis has always been the comic relief and it is a good fit for the show, I think they've gotten a bit out of hand with it.

Still an entertaining show, but this season seems a bit off. My original thought was Mike gets his butt kicked by Harvey toward the end of the season (and ends up back at the firm when he gets fired) but as almost everyone here mentions, I'm kind of hoping they actually settle it sooner.

Still digging the Donna character - I think the writers continue to blend her into the show really well.
