This season is flying by with the two episodes each week. Sort of sucks that it's just about done already. Oh well, looking forward to the two episodes tonight!!

The news reports on this show are always so bizarre . I felt bad for Louie when Amia took him to the Hungarian restaurant and had the waiter read him the letter she wrote. The part when he had to go and rescue Jane and the girls was okay too, but it sort of felt a bit tacked on to the episode to me. The doctor and the three legged dog continue to be a highlight. Also the part in the second episode when Louie and Pamela overheard the guys talking about taking someone out was funny. I think that stand up bit may have been the longest one the show has done. A lot of good material there though. It was kind of awkward seeing him struggle to keep Pamela inside his apartment. I wonder if they'll end up together or not.

I laugh at his stand up all the time, but I've never so as chuckled on the stand up he does on the show - don't know why. Just not his best material for whatever reason.
The show's getting less and less funny (though not necessary worse or anything like that).
That attempted rape was weird and kind of out of character for him. The bit at the restaurant was great.

I don't think that was actually his intention but he was acting weird. It seems like he's desperate to be in love or in a relationship with someone. He thought he could talk Amia into staying but couldn't and he already lost Pamela once and doesn't want that to happen again. I agree though it was odd the way he went about not letting her leave though.
I don't think the series is getting less funny but it balances comedy with semi-serious elements a lot. The series definitely isn't always straight up comedy.

Didn't he go about it (making his awkward move on Pamela) in the same manner he went about it with Amia? It seemed like he figured it worked with Amia, so maybe it would work with Pamela.

The long standup bit in the second episode was mostly his opening monologue from SNL back in April or whenever he recently hosted.
I thought it was much funnier on SNL.
Can't believe there are only 4 episodes of Louie left this year.

The part where Louie is standing outside the church and the wind blows the rain on him was perfect. That's the worst feeling and they never seem to use it in movies. The rain always just comes straight down.
The whole storm scene was excellent. It felt more tense and apocalyptic then anything I've seen on Walking Dead.

I love Louie he's one of my favorite comedians and I love this show but his bit on religion from this last episode went on too long and makes him sound like an idiot. It sucked on SNL also.

I wish they did just one episode a week.
Now there is not going to be anything good to watch in July and August.
Glad the Amia storyline is over I hope.

The weather effects pretty impressive. I loved the restaurant scene and Grodin's comments about love, but got a definitenrapey vibe in the second episode.

I liked the stand-up bit, but am happier when the show doesn't have them. The shows are so short I hate losing story for stand-up. I didn't see SNL, but I'd be annoyed if it was recycled material too.
The little 20 seconds scene with the guy on the subway was really funny.

Anyone else have a strange audio glitch happen during the Elevator part 6 episode? When Louie, Amia and her aunt were in the kitchen all yelling and Louie grabbed the plates to throw them down, suddenly all dialogue audio cut out and all I could hear was the storm sound effects. For about 4 or 5 seconds I could see all three actor's lips moving but not hear them as the thunder kept rolling, then Louie turned to the TV news report on the little TV on the kitchen table and the audio kicked back in. This was on At&T Uverse in L.A. but that's a very odd glitch, only one stream of audio (the dialogue) going out while the SFX remained on.

I believe it was intentional. I have Charter and the same thing happened, but I just assumed it was meant to be that way.

I just looked at my recording and the audio doesn't cut out during that scene. The thunder sound FX may get loud at one point, but there certainly isn't "4 or 5" seconds where you can't hear what they are saying.

It happened with me, too (Directv). I assumed it was to underscore the inability to communicate.

Audio is fine for me. There wasn't a lot of dialogue at that point, but Louie said "I love you! What am I supposed to do about it?"

Anyone notice the Discount Double check guy in his underwear running in the rain?

All dialog cut out for me as well, just storm sounds. It didn't come back until the news report about the storm killing everyone in one part of New York. I assumed it was intentional too.
