Yes it is. Very nicely done episode tonight. It was nice to see some of the little things from the book not cut out. I figured they might not show the part with Sansa and her making the snow Winterfell. So it was nice to see it on screen. Great way to end the episode. Push and fade to black.

Oh man Oberyn Martell is such a badass. "I will be your champion"

Re: Game of Thrones -- "Mockingbird" -- 5/18/14
Great way to end it. Love it when an annoying character departs the show.
not a single Stark in last week's ep for the first time in the series, and this week they gave us three of the four participating in this season. i do wish we could see more of Carice van Houten. |
Re: Game of Thrones -- "Mockingbird" -- 5/18/14
saw that coming
still hate the new Darrio and am I mistaken or is that now The Mountain 3.0 the scene with Oberyn and Tyrion was fantastic ... I would argue Dinklage deserves an Emmy more for that scene than last week's |
Re: Game of Thrones -- "Mockingbird" -- 5/18/14
I love how Baelish is just killing off the characters everyone hates.

I liked all of the Tyrion discussions and the ending, the rest was a little boring for me. The Daenerys stuff in particular.
I didn't realize it wasn't airing next week; totally forgot they've skipped the holiday before. Damn it. |
Re: Game of Thrones -- "Mockingbird" -- 5/18/14
This show has made me hate Memorial Day, I would give up the three day weekend to see the next episode.

They're just staying true to the books. :) |

Like how The New Mountain looks like he could be The Hound's son.

Re: Game of Thrones -- "Mockingbird" -- 5/18/14
Yea, wonder how Petyr is going to explain that death since Marillion is apparently not in the show. Great episode, best scene was Tyrion and Oberyn.
Wait, turns out Marillion was in the show, but not in the same manner. Per wiki: "Marillion is present when Catelyn captures Tyrion and accompanies them to the Vale. By the end of the series, he is at the court of Joffrey Baratheon. Marillion has been brought for the king for singing a mocking song about Robert Baratheon. In it he insinuates that the Lannisters are involved in Robert's demise. For this Joffrey sentences him to lose his fingers or his tongue. Marillion does not make a choice and begs for mercy. This is to no avail and his tongue is cut from his mouth by Ser Ilyn Payne. In the books, this happens to an unnamed tavern singer." |

Both. Doesn't change anything but it was a great line in the book and I would have liked it to be kept the same.

Re: Game of Thrones -- "Mockingbird" -- 5/18/14
Anyways, loved most of the scenes. Liked the hound/ayra discussion. All the convos with tyrion. Didn't really care for Danys scenes, but I did enjoy jorah getting the win.
