Modern Family - "The Wedding (Part 1)" - 5/14/14

MITCHELL AND CAMERON'S WEDDING DAY STARTS OFF WITH MORE THAN A HITCH, ON ABC'S "MODERN FAMILY"

A Star-Studded Episode with Nathan Lane ("The Producers"), Elizabeth Banks ("The Hunger Games"), Adam DeVine ("Pitch Perfect"), Barry Corbin ("Dallas") and Celia Weston ("Alice") Guesting

"The Wedding, Part 1" - Mitch and Cam's big day is finally here and nothing can ruin it, until nothing turns into a whole lot of somethings and puts wedding planner extraordinaire Pepper Saltzman (guest star Nathan Lane) to the test. Meanwhile, Jay and Gloria host the Tuckers, Phil squeezes in an eye procedure before the festivities and Claire embraces her role as "best woman," on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, MAY 14 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

I thought that this was a really funny episode - a ton of good one-liners this week.

Some good one liners, but any episode that features Mitch and Cam predominantly is more likely to be weak, IMO.

This show does not disappoint with the classic sitcom troupes.

If that's the case, how did Phil not break the bowl? Although there is a still a part two to come...

Pretty good episode. Weird coincidence with the San Diego fires though

I dunno, the odds are about 50/50 you'd run into a wildfire in So Cal at any given time.

Very probable. They've been setting that up a few episodes this past season.

Now that Haley is growing up, I think that you'll see her start to develop in much the way Penny did on Big Bang, with leaving the stereotypical bad boys and jocks behind and starting to date more nice guys, like Leonard on BBT and the Manny.

That would be awesome. Especially since he's another version of Phil. They could definitely get a ton of laughs out of that.
