24: Live Another Day -- "1:00pm to 2:00pm" -- 5/12/14

A HUNTED JACK BAUER TRIES TO THWART A PRESIDENTIAL ASSASSINATION ON AN ALL-NEW "24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY" MONDAY, MAY 12, ON FOX

As the hunt continues for Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), the terror threat is intensifying, much to the chagrin of the CIA and Kate Morgan (Yvonne Strahovski). Across town, President James Heller (William Devane) prepares to address Parliament in an attempt to heal recent wounds with the British, and to preserve his legacy. Meanwhile, Margot (guest star Michelle Fairley) - a homegrown British terrorist seeking to avenge her husband's death - proves she is willing to make any sacrifice for her mission in the all-new 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY episode "Day 9: 1:00 PM-2:00 PM" on Monday, May 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (TWF-903) (TV-14 L, V)

Cast: Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer; Yvonne Strahovski as Kate Morgan; Mary Lynn Rajskub as Chloe O'Brian; Kim Raver as Audrey Boudreau; William Devane as James Heller; Benjamin Bratt as Steve Navarro; Tate Donovan as Mark Boudreau; Michael Wincott as Adrian Cross; Gbenga Akinnagbe as Erik Ritter and Giles Matthey as Jordan Reed.

Episode 3 of 12

Important note for those recording tonight's episode:

Double check your DVRs! The airdate that was sent out for tonight's episode is incorrect. It says this aired last Monday (5/5/14) and won't record it. You will need to manually record it.

The airdate for next week's episode is messed up also, so you might as well set your recording for that one at the same time.

My TiVo is picking up the episode just fine. I suspect this is a cableco-only DVR problem, TiVos will pick up episodes as new if their listed air dates are within a few weeks of the present.

The next 2 episodes of 24 are directed by Adam Kane.

Kane is Leslie Hope's (Teri Bauer) husband. This is his 1st time working on this series.

so given it is going to storm here and my Directv will assuredly go out .... is this available to stream legally for free anywhere after it airs?

EDIT: nevermind I see it is on Hulu(+)

I kind of love Cat Stark as a big baddie. So much more enjoyable than trying to be good and noble while actually screwing everything up. Evil suits her nicely.

Decent episode. The chase in the tubes was good. And it totally slipped my mind that the CIA had to let the British thugs go since they have no jurisdiction. I got so use to 24 in America!

Bauer inciting a riot at the embassy was cool, only because I finally saw Argo this past weekend and that riot was intense.

I didn't suspect Morris and the son death at all, so I thought that was sad. Well played. 24 has had great character development through the years so that scene was quite effective

Yeah decent episode. Nothing mind blowing, but still entertaining.

We learned more about Margot and her daughter's motives and we got a good moment between Jack and Chloe. Very sad to hear about the fate of Morris and Prescott, but it does explain Chloe's radical change.

The chase scene in The Tube with Jack and Margot's daughter was pretty good.

Liked the ending with Jack inciting the riot and shooting the protesters.

Every season of 24 after the big premiere always has an episode like this.

The subway chase was cool but how did that chick suspect Jack seriously enough to cut herself? From the way it was shot I thought maybe she recognized him but then later on she said she didn't know who he was. Did the Jack-sack give him away or does she cut herself every time she sees an earpiece?

Shooting the protesters was classic badass Jack but stopping to turn around in the middle of a stampede when that agent yelled "Bauer!" was hilariously dumb. And what the hell kind of non-disguise was that? Couldn't find him a wig or a silly mustache to wear?

Also got a good laugh out of the parliament scene. Guy can't get past a hello before he's heckled.
Not as strong as the premiere. Next week's looks good though.

I believe she recognized Bauer from when he was chasing her and Gates at the flats (apartments). She doesn't know why he's chasing her, but she knows it's the same guy

I wouldn't mind a poster of that image.

Lady Stark watching her kid get it on, CREEPY.

Sarah screaming stopping to scream Bower instead of screaming and running at the same time was kind of Silly.

I'm liking the show but it seems kind of weak overall. I'd put this below GoT, mad men and even AoS.

On a different note if you ever watch NPR you should watch the British Parliament. So much fun to watch. You have to be on your toes in that place.

Re: 24: Live Another Day -- "1:00pm to 2:00pm" -- 5/12/14

Really disappointing third entry. I thought the limited episode number would eliminate all the subplots that fans hate. Not only do we get more Audrey/Mark bickering, but now the writers expect us to care about the social relationship (mother, daughter, son-in-law) of the terrorists.

I guess last week brought back the 'best' of 24, and this week brought back the 'worst'.

Even the two action sequences served no real purpose...the Underground stuff was just an extended way of Simone making her escape, and Jack's starting a riot to get into the Embassy was rather silly. He's f'ing JACK BAUER - there's got to be a million different ways to sneak into that place for someone as trained as he is.

Sorry, thumbs down for me. Hopefully things will pick back up next week.

I DID like the stuff between Jack and Chloe in the car though (when she told him what happened to Morris and her kid). But 5 minutes do not a great episode make.

Am I the only one who thinks it's pretty unlikely that a real Chief of Staff would forge the President's signature on an important document? Or that doing that might come back to haunt him later?

And speaking of foreshadowing, Chloe thinking she saw her dead husband and child (and frankly I don't remember her having a child - must have just forgotten I guess) -- anyone else getting one of those upcoming 24-twist vibe from that, like her they weren't really killed and the accident was staged?

It couldn't be more obvious that he will be caught later on with the forgery on the transfer document, but probably not until near the end of the day.

"24" eats unlikely for breakfast with the whole day left to explore absurd and preposterous. Please accept this before watching the next episode.

Not that this really means anything, but last night's episode was written by one of the staff writers of The Walking Dead and a staff writer from FX's The Bridge. Both have never worked on 24 before along with director Adam Kane.

Kane is also directing next week's episode.
