Haven season one. I have watched the series through several times over the years and decided to give it another go.

Just blazed through all of Shoresy after blazing through something else.
It can’t avoid its Letterkenny roots but having a more singular story lets you get closer to the characters. |

I never read the comics or knew the backstory but I thought he would be fighting crime in the city and there would be more Moon Knight scenes. It was boring but only 6 episodes so I decided to finish it and move on to another better and more exciting show hopefully. If Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke were not in it I would have passed. I will not check out season 2. |

Pressure Cooker on Netflix. It's yet another cooking comp but it adds a "Big Brother" element. The 11 chefs live in the same house and after challenges they will judge each other's food and decide who stays or has to leave. I think it's an idea The Food Network could have run with and made a perennial, while I think it'll be lucky to get a second season at Netflix.

Fringe is my favorite show of all time. Dr. Walter Bishop would be my favorite character in all of TV, film and literature.
I am doing another rewatch of 12 Monkeys, I watched the first season last night and today. |

Prey - season 1 - British crime thriller starring John Simm (the Master from Doctor Who). Just three episodes so it was a quick watch.

If you're into British crime thrillers, CD, I'd recommend The Shadow Line and Hunted. Both are single-season series and are excellent ...
I'll check out The Shadow Line, thanks for the rec! Looks like I can stream it on The Roku Channel or Hoopla currently. |

I liked Hunted, watched it several years ago--the one with Melissa George, right?
I love watching good European crime dramas, Nordic Noir, etc. Most people are familiar with the major ones (Broadchurch, The Killing, Luther, The Night Manager, Bodyguard) but there are a lot of great lesser know ones as well. Hidden (UK), Trapped (Iceland), Top Of The Lake (UK-New Zealand-Australia), Marcella (UK) to name a few. Something that's more of an atmospheric mystery is the French series Les Revenants (The Returned). Beautifully filmed with an incredible score by Mogwai, it's excellent as well ... |
Re: Last Show You Binged?
^I watched the American remake of The Returned. It was okay, but I'm sure the original is better and I do want to watch it some day.
I agree there are some gems in the lesser known (at least here in the US) foreign crime dramas out there. I really liked The Fall with Gillian Anderson. Some Australian ones I've liked are Secret City (with Anna Torv), The Code, and Mystery Road (two movies and then a tv series) |
