Marvel Agents of SHIELD Quick question

Hi everyone

I just watched episode 16 "End of the Beginning"

Can i now not watch any more episodes until i see Capt America the Winter solider ?

I don't plan on seeing it anytime soon as i usually wait for bluray and watch all of the year's blockbuster films over xmas

Obviously NO SPOILERS pls for the movie or the series

Re: Marvel Agents of SHIELD Quick question

you can see them, but it spoils the end of the CA:WS for you. so if you don't mind being spoiled, then go for it.

Re: Marvel Agents of SHIELD Quick question

It's not mandatory, but they make some references to events in the movie. And as Deftones said, it also spoils the movie (pertains to one of the main characters in the movie). One of the episodes afterwards also shows news footage of one of the key events in the movie, which obviously is a spoiler.

Just suck it up and go to the cinema and see it before you watch the remainder of season 1. I assume it's still playing in theaters in Australia? Unless it's a huge inconvenience. CA: TWS is 100% worth seeing in cinemas.

I'm in the same situation. The DVR is piling up, but I can't see myself getting out to the theater soon. :(

I say just watch the show. I dont think having that spoiled is going to ruin the movie for you. I figured it out from a dumb trailer.

I say don't watch the show. Cap 2 has some fun surprises that are ruined by those SHIELD episodes. And the SHIELD episodes aren't that great, so it would be a really bad trade to spoil Cap.

This is why I don't watch trailers for a movie I know I'm going to want to see. I love going in to a movie knowing as little as possible. Which is why I'm getting a backlog of SHIELD episodes, since I won't be watching anymore until Cap 2 comes out on Blu-ray.

I've watched the Shield episodes and I hope to catch CA maybe tomorrow's matinee. $5.75 is a lot better than full price and the theater being mostly empty at that time is also a plus.

I haven't been able to see Cap 2 yet, but I have kept up with Agents of Shield. I really don't feel as though I've had anything major spoiled. I'm still looking forward to seeing Cap 2 with the same anticipation as before. The last few episodes of Shield have been so good that I can't see staying away from them over something so minor. Just my opinion of course.

Not sure why one would pass up seeing this on a big screen. There should be cheap matinees available and it shouldn't be crowded at all. If one is agoraphobic, then I can understand. But what if something went haywire with your DVR and you lost all the tv episodes?

IMO, the reveal in Cap2 was pretty big and I'm glad I didn't know about it going in to see it. My opinion is to go see the movie first and then watch the Shield episodes.

Because I very rarely go to the theater. Why spend money to see it once when I can save that money to put towards the Blu-ray and own it? And ever since I got an HDTV, there's really no advantage to going to the theaters, except for seeing things sooner, which is not a big enough reason to me. And I know I won't lose my episodes, they are on my computer-based MythTV system.

Are you offering to babysit my 3-year old and 6-month old?

If the only advantage is seeing it sooner you must have some shitty theaters. But, whatev. I enjoy my HDTV also but prefer big movies on the biggest screen near me.

I have 3 kids and rarely make it to the movies in theaters. But I try to do it a few times for the big films. And this new cap movie is absolutely, 100% worth whatever it takes to see it in the theater. Sure, my wife was a little mad that I left the kids with that nice stranger outside the theater in his windowless van, but totally worth it (and how could I not take him up on his generous offer?)

MrSmearkase 04-26-14 07:17 AM

Re: Marvel Agents of SHIELD Quick question

/\ The candy in that guy's van was probably cheaper than anything in the theatre.

I have an 18-month old, so going to the theatre is very rare, doubly so as a couple. Cap was worth calling a babysitter.
