"The Only Light In The Darkness" was written by Monica Owusu-Breen and directed by Vincent Misiano. Episode 19 of 22 It's Root!! Too bad Person of Interest is a repeat tonight. That would have been weird having her on 2 different shows on 2 different networks. |

Fred! I love how Joss is like John Ford or John Wayne - he's got HIS actors and he uses them whenever he can.
Now if we could only get Fred and Gunn in the same scene... ;) |

Wow. Ward really is bad. I don't see them claiming this was deep cover, triple agent kind of stuff now. He's suddenly a lot of fun to watch, too.
I love what this show has become over the last 8 or 10 episodes. |

Agree about Ward, although I kind of wish we saw the kill on screen. What did Skye see in that picture when she was hiding from Ward? She seemed to go from completely freaked to cool and collected. The villain seemed kind of filler, which I can kind of understand.
So... May's mom I guess mentions Maria Hill? |

I still don't give a shit about Skye, which I guess is the real issue here and why we're sort of cheering for Hydra and Ward in this situation, oddly enough.

This was probably the weakest of the Hydra era episodes, but still enjoyable. I just kept waiting for the big reveal. I'm not sure what happened while Skye was in the restroom. Did she leave a note for the others to find?
So Fury personally designs a lie detector test that checks for 96 different "tells" yet cannot account for the oldest trick in the book? Did his budget not allow for a metal detector? Pretty cool that we have a descendant of the Howling Commandos on the team. |

I can understand Skye's reaction. She's not a hardened agent like the others. She's just really computer savvy. Plus, she's basically trapped defenseless in a bunker in the middle of nowhere with a skilled killer who she just was getting cozy with. That's kind of a big shock to absorb.

skye pulled herself together pretty quickly
she was having a panic attack, but she was able to put the penny back on the door and play it off with ward --- what was the conversation with may and her moms about? and were they talking about maria hill? |
