Besides Tyrion inexplicably picking up that cup at that time, why the hell didn't he tell Shae that Cersei and his dad were on to her and were going to have her killed?

She probably wouldn't have believed him and thrown it back in his face again. Shae is not a rational person.

Ding Dong the little shit is dead!!! Fuck yeah!!!
Personally I would have rather seen him die miserably with a sword through his chest or head , but I guess choking on his own blood/vomit will do.
Good makeup job in that scene. That's all I got. Probably one of the most gratifying episodes of the 4 seasons since I hated that character so much.

I liked that he went out the way he did, I just wish his death had been even more gruesome. Something like that the poison was an acid and was hollowing him out from the inside. We got a little hint of that, but I would have liked to see it taken to the next level.
Still a great episode that definitely flew by. I felt so uneasy during the whole wedding scene, which I know is exactly what they were going for.

For those saying they wanted him stabbed, I think I liked they way it happened and is perfect for him going out like that.. He doesn't get a heroes death if someone stabbed him or shot him with an arrow. Instead, he ends up scared and cowering on the ground as he chokes to death. Fitting end to a loathsome character.
I do agree with creek's earlier comment that the actor played that role amazingly well and generated so much hatred towards the character.

Also wondering if the new Queen was in on it...she didn't seem particularly shocked.
I think the biggest disappointment is that I'd always hoped it would be Arya that would kill him.

Great episode... Glad he's dead and loved the way it happened.
I do have a question though as I don't know if it was ever mentioned in the show (it may have and I completely missed it). We know Joffrey is Ceresi and Jamie's kid, but are all of Ceresi's children fathered by Jamie? Did any of Robert's swimmers get through??
