So many book readers who claim that the book never says who killed Joffrey.

They need to reread.

Doesn't Littlefinger tell Sansa. I seem to recall that is how we find out.

There's a good discussion about this on westeros.

I can see it being Littlefinger's doing primarily instead of the Tyrells, though.

He has reason to want Tyrion gone (he wants Sansa).

Everyone wants Sansa. With her comes the North

Interesting, I wonder if they'll bring up that, at least according to the stories Nan told Bran, the Night's King was a Stark.

Damnit I missed the opening credits scene, so I was confused why Locke was at the Wall (understood why in the episode thread).

So, differences being:
-Bran and Co never pass by Craster's Keep
-Jon isn't aware that Bran is alive and north of the Wall
-Bolton never sends one of his men to find and kill the remaining Stark survivors
-and that whole ending bit...

Also, in the books the Night's Watch doesn't worry about the mutineers at Craster's, right?

So if they stick to the plan of seven seasons, when the next episode airs, the series will be half over.

I noted that the little boy that was sent to Wall last week declared his prowess with a bow in this last episode. I have a good idea where that's going. Too be fair, I believe she killed his father.

Interesting article discussing differences between the book and tv series. Article is current up through S4E4 that aired last night (4/27/14).

I wonder if this is supposed to the same Night's King who was the thirteenth commander of the Night's Watch (which would make him very, very old), or if a title that is passed down.

If the White Walkers are turned humans, are they only able to turn infants, or can adults be turned as well?

*cough*Benjen Stark*cough*

Or could this be Coldhands? (The touch of his finger turning the baby into a White Walker would seem be a clue.)

Going by the previews, looks like next week is Only Cat.

Which ruins the ideal season ending of Only Cat, fade to black, fade back in, Lady Stoneheart hanging Freys.

Since they're going with Brienne and Pod, I suspect that they might show them getting captured by the Brotherhood, and then do the Lady Stoneheart reveal as they're getting ready to hang Pod. Final scene of the season?

Would be the best final scene in the series imho. I thought it would have been more dramatic showing Cat being revived on screen and not off screen. OH well.

I actually thought it might have started in last nights episode. With Brienne and Pod walking their horses through the woods and coming to the fork in the road.. I kept thinking that something is going to happen, but it didn't in the episode. I'm not sure if they would do that in the next episode, as that is likely going to feature the trial by combat heavily.

yea, I thought the brotherhood without banners was going to show up at the end of the pod/brienne scene.

next week will focus on the mountain vs viper, episode 9 is the battle at the wall, and episode 10 is shae/tywin and cat.
