The tribute show was fun, but I wish they would have shown a lot more stuff from the NBC years...that's when Dave was at his funniest. They had a few interview clips from those years, but I don't think they had any of his skits or his great "man on the street" segments. I'm guessing they had to pay NBC for what they did use, so that probably had a lot to do with it.

Great to see 65-year-old Marty bringing down the house.

I thought she looked great with and without the dress.

I'm on twitter and the consensus there was that she looked damned good even when she took it off.

It's funny, because there are people who have always been in a category of being more of a Leno guest and a Letterman guest and then with Fallon being so close personally with Tina, it really never changed the fact that she was always a Letterman guest, mostly because she gets her sense of humor in large part from growing up with the Letterman brand of comedy.

While it's always kind of made Dave extra "cool" that he rarely socializes with celebrities, even close friends like Hanks or Roberts, it's also kind of sad to think he won't probably see a lot of these people again. Maybe ever.

Did Jones put on a little weight? She didn't look as appealing as I remembered...

That's nice, but next time you don't need to tell us about your erection.

To me she looked a lot better in the dress, but think if she had a black bra and tights (or spanks or whatever) instead of flesh colored she would have looked just as good with it off.

That white dress makes her look like she's getting married.

Next Week-Dave's final full week of shows ever.

Monday-Howard Stern, Don Rickles
Tuesday-Bill Clinton, Adam Sandler
Wednesday-Julia Roberts, Paul Shaffer
Thursday-George Clooney
Friday-Oprah, Norm Macdonald (great for Norm to get this)

So, I think that leaves Tom Hanks, Regis and Bill Murray.

I'll be VERY disappointed if Foo Fighters isn't on during the final 3 shows, probably should be the last musical act.

I thought Don Rickles was dead.

And Clooney rarely does talk show appearances anymore so that's quite a get.

He had the Dave Matthews Band on last night. I really don't know what anybody sees in them.

I'd like to see Darlene Love back for Christmas in May.

Not really, he's doing everything to promote his new movie. This week I've already seen him on Extra interviewed by Mario Lopez.

That Monday show with Stern and Rickles is going to be wild and hilarious. I almost wish Dave could have both of them out there at the same time.

Press junket interviews are different than talk shows. Clooney actually quit doing talk shows for a little while a few years ago, but he started back up. I still remember his first trip back to Letterman afterwards, and Dave wanted to talk about like five of his movies b/c he had genuinely enjoyed them.

While the Foo Fighters deserve a spot on Monday or Tuesday of the following week, I stand by thought that the final night should just be a singer rocking out with the band. Paul and Will have been there since the first show. Sid and Anton have been there for 30 years. Felicia and Bones have been there since the move to CBS.

I think having Darlene back would diminish what was a very wonderful, emotional final performance last Christmas.

That's debatable, but regardless, him appearing on everything takes some of the "exclusive" luster off.

It would and there's zero chance she'll be back.

I'm pretty sure when she was on for Christmas last year, they said it would be her final appearance.

Wasn't he on with Paul on the Late Late Show a few months ago when Regis was hosting?
