Yeah some of the guests this include Travolta, Amy Schumer, Paul Rudd, the Piedmont Bird Callers - wonder if anyone will pick that up, Bruce Willis, Jim Gaffigan, Downey Jr., Elvis Costello, Seinfeld, and Chaka Khan singing Paul's song "It's Raining Men".

I hope Dave asks Travolta about Scientology (I know he won't but one could dream). It's not like it matters at this point.

Dave has been doing a lot of Scientology jokes since Going Clear came out, but Travolta has always been very nice to the show so I would be surprised if he put him on the spot like that.

Last night Bruce Willis was on for the 61st time wearing the same outfit that he wore the 1st time back in 1985. They ended with a montage of all the silly stuff he's done for the show through the years.

Howard Stern was talking on his show that he wants to be Dave's last guest on his last show, but they didn't go for it. So he will be a guest on the last 2 weeks, but he is always entertaining with Dave as he is one of the few guests that can take over the show and Dave is always uncomfortable about what he'll say next.

Howard is a friend of the show and has been a good guest through the years, but frankly being the final lead guest in David Letterman's long history is a privilidge that he hasn't earned. .

CBS will air a 90-minute prime-time special on May 4.

Outgoing Late Show host David Letterman, who will step down on May 20, will be the subject of a 90-minute primetime special celebrating his legendary career.
David Letterman: A Life on Television will air on May 4 and will be hosted by Ray Romano, whose long-running CBS sitcom was produced by Letterman's Worldwide Pants Incorporated.
Spanning all the way back to his days as a weatherman in Indiana, the special will feature highlights from Letterman's best interviews as well as his famous show segments such as the Top Ten List, Stupid Pet and Human Tricks. Some of his most poignant moments from behind the Late Show desk, like his first broadcast after the Sept. 11, 2011 terrorist attacks, will also be included.

Nice. I wonder if they'll mention Dave's infamous "mea culpa" when he got caught banging his female underlings.

Good show tonight with Jerry Seinfeld. Jerry did the stand-up bit from his first appearance 30+ years ago. They talked about how Dave runs across the stage at the open of every show. Biff Henderson clip package.

Doubt they would even have her on for a segment, but I would love to see Merrill Markoe on for a long interview.

I read The Late Shift a while ago. Some pretty wild stuff was going on. Leno was supposedly hiding in a closet listening to a private meeting of NBC executives.

I wouldn't mind seeing Leno on one of Dave's final shows either. It'd be interesting for sure and a good capper to both their legacies. I don't expect them to fully bury the hatchet but it would be neat to see.

Just as long as it's not the last show or, if it is, doesn't cut into Bill Murray's time.
