Wow. Shit's getting real. Really enjoyed this episode and next week looks really good. Will be interesting to see if things are really bad with May or if it's not what it appears.

Oh and congrats to Skye.

Well...Agent Sitwell is on his way to Cap.

Great episode. Loved Deathlok's eye.

The whole "seeing Deathlok through an X-ray lense" thing was quite nostalgic.

Can't wait for Cap 2 this weekend and ndxtcweek's episode.

First great episode of the series.

Reminder, Captain 'Murica 2 takes place in between this week's and next week's episode, so I'd hold off on watching any more episodes until you see the movie.

Good episode. Deathlok is cool. Bill Paxton is always great. The conflict at the end with May and then the plane changing course was nicely tense, though I'm sure it'll turn out that May's not actually working against her team.

One gripe is that I wish there were fewer scenes of Coulson talking about how wonderful Skye is, and more scenes showing her actually doing stuff to warrant the praise. It's getting kinda creepy how much he fawns over her.

The Deathlok x-ray was cool and a Department H shout-out, too.

Paxton's energy has elevated the show, hope he continues to re-occur.

Poor Thomas Nash. At least he went quick. Brad Dourif always had that crazed look and it fit in well except it was probably panic.

If they made next week's episode so I can't follow it without seeing Captain America: The Winter Soldier, they will have failed in their S.H.I.E.L.D. duties. Tie-ins are one thing, but a given work shouldn't be highly dependent on them. I think how they tied in Avengers was good. If you only watched Agents of Shield (and not Avengers), you'd know Coulson died and came back, and you'd also know New York was attacked. If you want to see HOW that stuff happened, go watch Avengers. If not, you're still good. That's a good tie-in. I have no intention of seeing Captain America anytime soon.

Glad the show has picked up of late.

Paxton has been a very good addition.

Is the Clairvoyant someone they have already introduced or someone new?

no "if" about it, Captain takes place in between

You realize you're in the small, small minority of people watching the show who have no intention of seeing Captain America. I don't think they're worried about viewers not seeing Captain America. I'm also sure that the episode will probably work by itself, but it will spoil Captain America.

That was yet another great episode. The last 5 or 6 have been outstanding.

This is pretty much the show that people expected from the get-go. Wildly entertaining and tied in to the greater Marvel Universe.

This will be a great weekend - Captain America and then Agents of Shield the following Tuesday.

I can't wait to buy this series on blu ray...

This show has turned from bad, to having potential, to outright being excellent the last few episodes. Such a great show now.

So if May didn't turn the plane around, maybe Ward is the bad guy or working with Victoria Hand given that he shot Nash? And like everyone said, Deathlok looks awesome, especially the X-Ray.

Well Crap, I might have to jump back into Agents of Shield once I watch Captain America.

Can anyone suggest a good earlier/crappy season recap, and what episodes it really starts to kick in and work?

You could start at episode 10 and be pretty much good to go

Yea... all those "LOSERS" shouldn't have bailed.

Pretty confident it's the latter.

I was assuming, probabably erroneously, that May was reporting back to Fury.

Yeah, probably but I was thinking it would be great if she turned out to be bad, escaped and then started her own team to fight SHIELD.

 Awesome episode. The scheduling for this show does suck with all these breaks, but honestly the second half of this season has been pretty solid.

Happy to see Skye get promoted to a Shield agent. Liked seeing Bill Paxton back again.

The stuff with Deathlok was awesome.

I'm curious to see what the deal is with May and who she is actually reporting to. I assumed it was Fury, but I wonder if it was actually Victoria Hand given that last scene and how they took control of their plane.

So was that really the Clairvoyant? Seemed like Nash was just used as a patsy since he was incapacitated. That way the Clairvoyant could continue to do his/her work.

Edit: Ok, I should just keep watching. Seems like Coulson caught onto that.

From what I got out of it, that definitely wasn't the Clairvoyant.

It's so weird and repetitive that I have to believe there is a good reason...it will be revealed that Coulson is her father. That is the only thing I can think of for continuing to have him fawn over Skye's potential.

This show needs to do everything in its power to make Paxton a full-time cast member. He plays off Coulson much better than May.
