Well, the thing about cannibals in the zombie world is that... are you sure you are not eating infected meat?

And we know that everyone is infected. And some people are converted into walkers immediately, and some take some more time. So how sure are you going to be that your meat is not infected?

But of course everything is possible in TWD.

by keeping them alive and observing them for some time in, oh, I don't know... something like a train car?

WE know everyone is infected but do the cannibals?

And maybe eating infected meat accelerates the process and they all become zombies which leads to the group's escape.

Ah, an excuse to wave away why all the zombies haven't long since rotted away. Or even their clothing.

I had a similar problem the other day. A car was headed right towards me - and even though it was still a mile away from me, I stood there screaming for help.

That scene was so bad. How does that get through so many sets of eyes without anyone speaking up on how dumb it looks?

If the zombies all rotted away, it would not make for a very compelling tv show.

As David Attenborough would say, even buzzards have discriminating tastes.

I dunno...I find the half-bodied zombies trying to crawl after people while reaching for them to be the creepiest. And you could never take your eyes off the ground in the dark for fear of stepping on a short little zombie. Kind of like a snapping turtle.

They would have to rename the show, however, if none of the zombies had lower torsos.

One thing's for sure: the screaming guy waving the club in the clearing would have just as much trouble when surrounded by rotting zombies as with 'able-boded' zombies.

Buzzards eat road kill because it can't fight back. Zombies may be dead but they still bite.

How come there are no naked zombies?

You would think that occasionally a zombies' britches would fall off.

Same reason Rick only said "screwing with", not "fucking with"

That is a good point. As far as we know Rick's group is the only one that knows everyone is infected.

I'd wager there are plenty of others who've witnessed someone dying from natural causes or non-zombie injuries and then rising from the dead.

At this point I think many people would at least suspect that. If you have someone die without a zombo and they turned people would start to think that. And it seems more people are killed by other people than zombos.

yeah, it would be very weird if they made it so that when the living eat the pre-turned living (or recently deceased), the latent infection in the meal "creates" antibodies in the diner that prevent turning by undead bites, scratches or natural death. Whacked out moral dilemma!

Probably because they're not quite dead. Though I hear they have been known to attack wounded or sick creatures so.....

Yes, true, but they would focus on why that particular person became a zombie. If they saw it multiple times it could become a theory.

that said, I saw in one of those "behind the scenes" shorts that the sfx folks are actively creating Walkers that have been dead for a long time and being rotted away due to being out in the elements.

The reality is there is always someone getting bit or dying so there are always new Walkers being added to the population. So you'll always have then with varying degrees of decay.

Yep. It was mentioned (possibly on The Talking Dead) that some of them are attracted to fire because their eyesight is going bad.

So watch out for the zombies with the new prescription glasses

Well it isn't as if there is a census of the zombie to human ratio in the show but it seems safe to assume that the vast majority is made up of zombies. Any new additions to the undead horde would have to be a sprinkle of dust on a mountain by this point.

As much as it pains me to say this, I've come to the conclusion that this show simply isn't very realistic.
