Great episode, though I've thought this season has been pretty strong overall.

It didn't even occur to me that half the cast was missing.

Claire's role was pretty thankless, other than slapping Gloria on the butt, and asking her to blow for luck, but I was glad they didn't go the usual sitcom route and have her lose the money again.

Plot wise, it made sense since they needed Mitchell to start gambling. But yeah, comedically she had nothing at all to do.

Modern Family always seems to be best when they focus on Three's Company-esqe misunderstandings. This one was more over the top than most of those in the past, but it certainly delivered. I didn't even realize the kids weren't in it until I read this thread.

In the middle of the episode I had the thought that magic was happening. The last 10 minutes confirmed it. Probably the best episode in years.

I'll admit I barely pay attention any more. I play on the laptop while the wife watches. Last night she kept laughing and I caught enough to know it was a really good episode. I'll watch it again on DVR to catch everything I missed

Three's Company instantly jumped to mind, and they executed it so well. Hilarious episode.

Incredible episode. I was cracking up when Phil was drawing the bath and the butler thought the dog statue was his wife. That whole scenario escalated so perfectly over the course of the episode.

That's exactly what I thought when I watched it - "This is like a THREE'S COMPANY episode."

I actually DIDN'T enjoy this one that much...although it's hard to complain about any episode that gives us Sophia Vergara in a maid's outfit.

Yeah, the maid outfit was nice but I would have preferred more towel time.

I agree, the payoff was great, but I was really frustrated getting there.
