Kirkman does say he has it planned out quite a ways into the comic series. Under his affable persona, I get the sense that he has a lot of business acumen, and I'm sure he'll keep it going as long as it sells, and right now, the franchise is huge and I'm sure he has little interest in slowing it down.

I fully expect to see this property milked as much as Law and Order.

Hopefully in the spinoff. I don't see the main show going far anytime soon.

And I get totally get that.

I just remember really starting to enjoy Breaking Bad a lot more when we knew that an end was coming, even when it was still several seasons away. Everything mattered so much more from then on.

Yeah, I was thinking that as well, the face seems significantly different.

I want to know that they're working towards something, because it's all starting to feel like filler to me.

I don't see how there could be an endgame. With the exception of the CDC story arc, they have deliberately stayed away from anything that would hint at an endgame. We know very little of what occurred during the outbreak. We have no speculation on a cause or a cure; no plan to get to a certain destination ... the only motivator we have is survival.

Of course, now we have the introduction of Abraham, Rosita, and Eugene who give us all of these things.

Comic book spoilers:

Spoiler:
Abraham must get Eugene to Washington DC; Eugene knows the cause and the cure; and Rosita is just fucking hot. Well, one of these three stories is not bullshit.

Eugene knows absolutely nothing about the cause or the cure. Abraham was a soldier who was on the brink since he had lost everything (he either saw his fellow soldiers fall or he deserted). Eugene fell in with Abraham and the two developed a mutual respect for eachother. Eugene saw that Abraham needed a mission as a reason to continue living so he made one up.

And of course we don't know if they are going to follow the comic.

Doesn't matter. That's a pretty huge spoiler, on par with everyone being a carrier for the virus. Plus everyone in these threads had used spoiler tags for future comic events as well.

Glad it has been put in tags, but I really thought all of that was obvious based on the last episode (I haven't read the comics).

yep.. it should be interesting how they play it off...

though if they want closure, they should keep it going

Except your take on Abraham is wrong.

Given how the TV writers twist the comics around, and how coy the main characters are showing complete disregard pertaining to Eugene's knowledge of the situation they are in, I fully expect Eugene to take a bullet in the head when someone actually gets around to asking him about what he knows.

As long is leads us to zombie filled DC, then lets run with it.

Well with no set dressing to do, it'll definitely be in AMC's budget.

I would say "thank you" ... But I have never read the comic. Not an issue, not a page, not a panel. Was I seriously that close? (I think it is painfully obvious from the way they act and the conversations which have occurred.)

Do we have PREDICTION tags?
