^^^ What is even the point of that photo? If that's supposed to be Melissa George, she's not even on this episode and she's not even a regular on this show. :hscratch:

Anyways, pad your DVR tonight if you live in the East and Central markets. NCAA basketball is running long.

So instead of CBS killing off bad shows (ie 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly), the network's killing off great characters on good shows? -ptth- A thumbs down to CBS for those ridiculous The Mentalist east coast pop-up reminders for almost ruining the suspense.

WOW. I knew they were going to bring back that case from last fall but was not expecting this end result. I was hoping this was some sort of Kalinda dream sequence and she wakes up from a drunken stupor in bed with Jordana Spiro's lesbian detective still contemplating whether to quit the firm. A nice contrast from the writers with the previous 'major event' - that entire Florrick/Agos departure took a few weeks to simmer before the eruption. This shakeup, no warning whatsoever.

rotfl Kalinda's reaction to the new "Will" in the previews

Really a fucking shame that this episode got time delayed.

I imagine that millions of the show's fans don't realize what they recorded or that this episode had such a huge turning point for the show, and CBS is shitty about On Demand.

CBS should rerun this on Tuesday night and promote the hell out of it tomorrow night during the sitcoms.

Damn, I love this show now, never saw something like that coming.

Did anyone? Just the fact that there was no word on him leaving the show is kind of a miracle. You don't get surprises like this on network television.

BUT, Will was my favorite and most interesting character on the show, so it actually kinda' sucks.

Insane. Has no clue. Balls. Big balls. This show is sensational.

-eek- oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy shit that was crazy!!!!!!!

:rip: Will Gardner

 at the preview with Peter calling Alicia a selfish bitch.

Archie Panjabi actually showed some real acting in this episode for a change.

I think the way the King's handled this episode with the sound effects as opposed to seeing the shootout was very effective.

http://m.deadline.com/2014/03/spoile...-josh-charles/

This story explains the move. Josh Charles contract expired after last season. He wanted to leave the show, but the writers convinced him to stay so they could properly write him out.

Not surprising, most of the people commenting on Deadline who hate the move are women.

Josh Charles talks about why he left. Good interview. Very gracious and appreciating of the show and what it's done for his career. He says he's open to returning to another show, but 10-13 episodes.

Again, in this article, the women fans commenting hate the move.

I didn't watch the episode live but DVR'd and was an hour behind. I made the mistake of checking Facebook and one friend posted "Wait, what just happened to Will Gardner?" but even with that warning I didn't expect THAT to happen. And even though they had been hyping a big event for the last few weeks. Though that did factor into my thinking when I considered recording it and waiting a couple days--I thought better sooner than later if something big is going to go down.

Fortunately I didn't scroll further in my FB feed or I would have been seen this post from the official TGW page only a half-hour after the episode ended on the West Coast (no delay, thankfully):

In the preview for the rest of the season following the episode,
Spoiler:
they showed the tension when Alicia returns to the firm and sees Diane, then they broke it by showing what happens. It was a cool moment in the preview but might have been better saved for the actual episode.

I was absolutely stunned. And yeah, reading all the hate comments from women is funny. All the usual "I was only watching the show for Josh Charles anyway. Will and Alicia 4Ever! DVR cancelled!"

You just never grow out of being a teenage girl, do you?

Re: The Good Wife -- "Dramatics, Your Honor"-- 23 March 2014

Also I don't usually watch the coming up next stuff, but made an exception after a comment here.

re: the new

Spoiler:

Will - ugh. I never really like the MJF character, and now he'll be battling against Cary and Alicia.

The show was going so well - to this point..

Also interesting way to save Peter's bacon

Yeah, doesn't make sense in context of this show/episode, unless that's how she seduced Peter Bogdanovich.

Either way, I'm still OK with the photo. :D

Holy, did not see that coming at all.
I thought this would just be a regular episode, and so decided to post a hot pic of one of the actresses rather than a boring promo shot.

Agreed. I was fine until her reaction. Then I got all choked up.

Like almost everyone I did not see that coming at all. Will was my favorite character so it's going to take a minute for me to get over this. That does make Peter's case go south so I bet he won't be sorry to see Will go.

Unfortunately for me, I was scrolling through my FB feed and saw that damn letter before seeing this episode. I'm on the West Coast and usually watch this the day after airing because time and that pissed me off. My Twitter feed was also packed with the spoiler because CBS decided to retweet the actor's Tweets to fans. Why did they not just make the pic of the letter a clickable link and then add a warning? Especially since it was posted minutes after the East Coast airing.

Uggh. Social media just makes enjoying spoiler free entertainment damn near impossible.

The solution is simple really. Avoid facebook/twitter crap.
