Did not see that death happening in that manner. I thought for sure raylan was going to be the one to kill Danny

Finally a good episode again

"I got your whole stash right here. Well, half of it...but the whole half!"

"Now I'll be waiting for your call...thank you."

Shout out to Parker Stevenson! Dewey cracks me up, and it was good to see Dickie Bennett again.

Great episode. Alternating between hilarious and horrific.

Welp... as soon as I heard Art say "since you are my own special personal problem, I'll take care of her protection myself", I believe the countdown to Art's death is on.

Re: Justified -- "Weight" -- 3/18/14

I still don't get why Art is so pissed.

Didn't Raylan cover for something Art did that was nearly as bad in one of the earlier seasons?

When Art went buck wild and dished out his own sort of justice to get results... yeah, At this point I feel like the Art stuff is just like the Ava stuff - enough time spent on that bullshit. Move on.

Though I guess both are getting set up to be the demise of one of them.

That scene with Boyd and the midget detention officer was weird. I can't believe Boyd would believe that bullshit and let him go.

100% agree. That and Raylan's continued super luck with Danny's trip-and-fall kinda took me out of the episode a bit.

Re: Justified -- "Weight" -- 3/18/14

The Ava-Dale Dickey-Popeye's Chicken Lady-Danny Strong-Boyd machinations are stopping me cold.

I found myself reaching for the FF button during those scenes last night... Although I did hope they'd pull the switcheroo and have Dale Dickey shiv Ava.

Where are Tim and Rachel this season?! I liked how last season they were actually a team but it's pretty much Raylan now.

Tough to watch those final scenes / that sort of violence. As if I needed another reason to not like his character. He's the least interesting villain in the history of the series.

This kind of helped clarify for me a bit:

Boyd got his hands on the guard Albert (Danny Strong) and threatened to cut him worse if he didn’t recant his statement that Ava had attacked him. Albert said he’d only done that because he loved Ava immediately and knew he’d never be able to make her his, and Boyd set him free. That surprised me, too. Did Boyd really believe him, and is that really why he let him go?
Yost: That’s a good question. It was my feeling that he believes and doesn’t believe him, and that’s almost immaterial. Ava has broken up with him. He had Jimmy kill an old man to help Ava. And it’s like, you know, enough. There’s a little bit in episode 9 when Roscoe and Jay come in and Boyd says, “Why don’t we all just pull our guns and see who’s left standing?” There’s a big sense of what the hell am I doin’ this for?

Are you saying that Boyd is giving up on Ava? This is him trying to let go?
Yost: It’s just he’s not gonna torture this guy. He has reached his limit.

Re: Justified -- "Weight" -- 3/18/14

i do get the sense that these worthless, good for nothing Crowes will take Art out before they are removed from the earth. (i wonder if they do a "Wire" and Kendall is the one pulling the trigger. bonus points if he does it while whistling the farmer in the dell)

had Ava spoken to Dick Daley and discussed a way to off the popeyes chicken lady i think things would have gone better. but coming close to shanking her in the terlet, and again in church, i can see why she might be a bit peckish.

sad to see wendy beaten like that, but i guess that's life at stately Crowe manor aka the farmer's market/trailer park/whorehouse.

RIP Chelsea

Yeah, that was one of the better payoffs for what seemed to be such a stupid throwaway comment.

My DVR cut off right as Boyd was talking to the guard. What happened after that?

Boyd let the guy go.

Michael Rapaport sucks.

This season has been a misfire for me. Tim and Rachel are AWOL, and Art's been sulking all season.

(The way that Crowe boy died was hilarious, though)

Mine too. Do you by chance have Directv? This has happened to me at least 5 times recently. Not sure what the deal is. At the 1:05 minute mark it just ended, still 10 minutes to go.

yup. happened to me as well and I've got DirecTV. I think it's an FX thing, since the last time this happened was on The Americans.
