I'm just finishing up "Level X" however I'm guessing the dwindling number of comments here is not a good sign ...

It may not be a good sign about how many people are watching, but the show has done nothing but get better, IMO. I stopped watching awhile back, but my wife dragged me back in a couple of episodes ago with a promise that it was improving. I have to agree.

I know some people are down on the show but I am really enjoying it. This episode was good and we got an explanation for the silver eyes which opens up a whole new angle to the show.....I hope they at least deal with the virus before moving on to that part. Unless I am mistaken, Jeri Ryan's character made it seem like the virus and cure were a totally separate thing from the "silver eye syndrome".

The story does seem to be moving forward again. It felt like we were bogged down for a while there -- too many things being thrown at us with very little resolution.

I'm three episodes behind. Great to read that the show is still interesting.

So, this is worth watching? I booted up the first episode months ago but it didn't hook me at all.

Re: Helix -- "Fushigi" -- 3/07/14

Only one episode pending now. This one.

Nausicaa, this is the anti-Lost, or anti-Walking Dead, show. A lot of thins happen every episode. New things are revealed and they are solved/explained by the next episode. 9 episodes of this season would be like 9 seasons of TWD!

Also, a lot of secondary characters die. Really surprising.

Now, this is a B series (like a B movie), you don't have to think too hard, don't use your brain too much, the acting is subpar from the secondary characters, but it's good from the main characters. You LOL at some of the scenes. But the show is really entertaining. If you read the threads here, people watching are liking it.

He doesn't like the name either so she better stop calling him that, haha.

Helix is an odd show but I do like it quite a bit. Someone described it as the anti-Walking Dead and I agree with that. While it is in many ways as ludicrous as Walking Dead it has tremendous forward momentum which keeps in interesting. What seemed as a very claustrophobic premise keeps getting expanded, even if the setting doesn't and mysteries very rarely take long to be resolved. Definitely a show that improves as it gets farther along, unlike Walking Dead that just seems to keep recycling the same storylines and dragging things out forever.

Re: Helix -- "Fushigi" -- 3/07/14

Marathoned eps 3 to current over the weekend, and wow I really like this show. Had not bothered to continue after ep 2 for close to 2 months since it seemed like a by-the-numbers sci-fi-ish show, but it really starts picking up from ep 3+ (gave it one last try before I was going to delete it off, and really glad I gave it one more look!)

Overall, I like the quirky to weird use of music and camera shots/angles, not to mention the bizarre things that come up ("The Scythe"?!). The show description makes it sound a tad boring, but it's freakin' nuts!

Y'know - am liking the plot but hating the dialog. "This is the most terrible thing I've done... " 5 mins later, "No this is the most terrible thing I've done ... "

Having a bunch of RC snowmobiles as a distraction for 3 folks in chutes seemed a bit over the top tho.
