"#THINMAN " - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

THE GHOSTFACERS RETURN - A teenage girl (guest star Ali Webb) is killed and the final selfie she took before the attack shows a ghostly figure in the background. Looking for something to keep them busy, Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) head to Washington to find the ghost. While the two interview the girl's mother, Betty (guest star Maria Marlow), they are surprised when she starts talking about cold spots and fritzing. When they ask her about bringing up paranormal signs, Betty replies that the "supernaturalists" who called earlier brought it up. Enter Harry (guest star Ryan Moss) and Ed (guest star A.J. Buckley), the famous supernaturalists. Jeannot Szwarc directed the episode written by Jenny Klein (916).

I enjoy the Ghostfacers episodes. It's comic relief for me.

Yeah this episode was a miss for me. It had potential and I was looking forward to seeing the Ghost Facers come back. But the whole thing just didn't live up to it's potential. Thin Man could of made for an interesting idea and statement on viral internet videos. Instead it was used mainly to relate yet again to the Winchesters fighting. I would say this was my least favorite episode this season.

I do agree they used it as a 'mirror' for the Winchester's spats. It definitely hurt the episode. Otherwise I don't see what was wrong with it.

The ghostfacers paralleling the Winchester's dispute was done with the subtlety of a kick to the nuts. I enjoyed the first couple Facers episodes, but this time instead of being funny semi-likable douche nerds the Facers were mostly unfunny unlikeable douches that I then had to watch reenact the shitty hamfisted brofight bullshit I barely tolerate from the main characters.

I actually thought the villain was quite creepy until they unveiled the hoax. Agreed on the episode being a complete downer and less entertaining than prior Ghostfacer episodes.
