some things such as any sports I try to watch as soon as possible so that I don't get any spoilers etc.

Shows depend...sometimes a few will build up and then I watch them, but when I do usually the same show first if I have a few episodes of that particular show.

I guess a little. I don't like getting too far behind. The only thing I save all season is Castle. Everything else is a watch and delete.

I would have more space if I taped everything in SD instead of HD.

It's a secret, shhh, but sometimes when my wife or daughters ask me to record something, I record it in SD. Sometimes.
