Wow! Wow! Fucking Wow!

That's how you end an episode!

You have to wonder about Mike now. He had been acting crazy enough before this.

This show is pure joy to me.

So right now I'm looking for Ryan and the FBI to defeat Lily and her, I suppose, network of serial killers. And in the other hand I'm looking for Joe Carroll to overtake the other leader that humiliated him. Is Emma still alive? In this show my guess is that she is still alive.

Yeah, don't use your brain, and that kind of stuff, with this show. But I haven't had that much fun in a long time.

I enjoyed this one as well. I do think Emma is alive. The way the leader said to trust him at the ceremony. Also the way leader and his wife confirmed that Carroll was legit almost makes me think the new cult aren't killers and are just putting on a show. I actually find myself interested on what is going to happen.

Great episode. Mike's going to be hellbent on revenge now. He was already pretty unstable, so this might push him over the edge. Great way to end the episode. Some good acting by Ashmore.

The second cult was pretty creepy. Emma's definitely still alive. The cuts on her wrists weren't deep enough to kill her.

Nice to see Jacinda Barrett as a new villain along with Jake Weber. I think this shows the series could have definitely survived without Joe Carroll. There are plenty of psychos in the U.S. for the FBI to hunt.

The Real World: London wife said that she's still alive and Joe will see her soon. It looks like she's going to double cross her husband. I doubt Joe "passed" the polygraph test and targeting Emma was part of her power play. I love that the show embraces it's craziness.

Also, the part where the leader's wife flat-out said Emma was alive.

I freaking love this show. Just when I started to feel it was losing some of its "edge", it throws this episode at us. Twisted and creepy is what I want and this episode delivered. It is amazing how I have in some sick way grown to care about Joe, Emma, and Mandy. I was rolling on the floor laughing near the end of the episode

Cult leader -- "We're going home"

Mandy -- "Where is home Joe?!?"

Joe -- "Hell if I know."

When the crazy cult leader thinks the new cult leader is crazy, you know you've got something!

Emma is definitely alive, they said it, as others have pointed out. I was PISSED when it looked like they might kill her. Not because I like her, she might be my most reviled character in the history of TV. I badly want Ryan or Mike or Max to violently kill her.

I know the cult leader's wife said she was alive but when a crazy cult leader says "alive" , that could mean in the next level after death : ) Never trust crazy.

Yeap.

But of course she's still alive.

Just when you don't think The Following can get any wackier, Joe wanders into Jonestown!

^ agreed. Wish he stuck around longer. What an episode though. The new cult one-ups the other. Can't make this stuff up. As mentioned, I do like how this show embraces its craziness. One of the more bizarre hours of TV I've watched in quite a while.

It would have been better if they had actually offed the niece. Last year she would be dead by now.

Renewed for a 3rd season. Wow, I'm really surprised. Love the show, but the ratings have been down this season.

As it's in all out full-retard mode, wouldn't surprise me if the "Wife" betrays the Cult Leader and joins Joe Carrol's little harem by next week...

I'm glad this show has learnt one thing from 24

Don't be afraid to kill liberal numbers of bad guys, because you can always introduce badder bad guys
