Helix -- "Bloodline" -- 2/21/14

Synopsis: The vectors attack and take Peter's body; Walker is held prisoner by Sutton after the true nature of Sutton's relationship with Hatake is revealed. Episode 8 of 13 I just got caught up with Helix this past week. Some people here have been kind of meh on this, but I actually think the pacing and storytelling has been pretty good. I'm not expecting everything to be revealed and all the answers to everything right away. After all, the CDC crew has only been trapped there 7 days real time (7 episodes) Liked the introduction of Jeri Ryan's character last week as a potential secondary villain next to Hatake. Jules getting "cured" with this new condition was also interesting. |

Well, I am also enjoying the pace and storytelling. I think the setting and isolation help enhance the claustrophobic nature of trying to work for a cure when you don't exactly know who you can trust. Certainly worked for the Thing.

I read the posts before watching the last episodes and was expecting the worst. But yeah, the episode was like the entire season. You should already used to it.

I haven't watched the whole episode yet, but I caught the beginning. That dinner scene was freaking hysterical!

 Well, that was a short lived role for Jeri Ryan.
I did find her acting in her little arc a little over the top. at Alan putting a bomb on the microscope to try to take her out. Interesting reveal that Jules is actually Hatake's daughter. |
