This seems like as good a place as any to post this observation/question.

When I was growing up, TV was just ABC, NBC and CBS. Then FOX and a few cable channels.

There weren't that many just flat-out sexy and beautiful women scattered across all the prime-time programs. "Charlie's Angels" was supposed to be all sexed up, but one of the three was just attractive.

Now there are 100s of different scripted series being produced for prime-time and streaming, and there seems to be a bottomless well of beautiful and sexy ladies to fill even the most minor roles on all these shows.

I mean, what the fuck happened?

And also factor in that we're in the era of HD; a lot of 70s sex symbols probably benefitted from the standard definition 19 inch screens we were watching.

But to answer your question, I think we're just in more of an era when sex sells. TV was prudish as hell for a long time. Charlie's Angels WAS considered daring and borderline smut, and as you mention, it was really pretty tame, even then. Hell, I remember an episode of Cheers I just watched that was considered controversial in the day: Sam and Rebecca have a sexy conversation at Melville's Restaurant (all whispered of course), but then Sam has to stay at the table, the implication that he doesn't want to walk through the restaurant with a visible erection.

And now we have Viagra ads. So we've come a long way. I can only imagine what the future will bring.

No kidding. What really bothers me is technically the last two you mentioned are young enough to be my kids. I find them hot but I'm closer to their dad's age than theirs.

I'm also a fan of all of the above (except Lucy Liu, never really was a fan of hers), but they're also all older than me except for Baccarin and Munn. I can still appreciate the young ones.
