Katy Tur use to special interest stories for the NBC nightly news and kind of the fluff stories about ice cream or some other things like that.
Her dad was in a news chopper for a LA station and transitioned to a woman on a CBS Sun News morning segment I saw Hard to believe she dated Keith Olbermann https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...848da8566a.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...6e054566c5.jpg |

Gotta say, I do like that producers have finally come to the realization that there's pretty women in the world other than European blue-eyed blondes.

Conner Board was a reporter here in Austin, and she just moved to a station in Seattle.
She hosted the weekend morning news show, and I just loved her. She has such a bright personality and a beautiful smile. The first minute or two of the video gives a good look at her. And the internet has a bikini pic Spoiler:

Maybe I should become a CBS guy and watch their local broadcasts. The KPIX promos show her still active as a MEDIVAC pilot. When she first started, her name was "LT Jessica Burch" on screen. I thought her first name was LT, no that's lieutenant  Eventually, they dropped the LT. BTW, she can wear green because KPIX uses a big screen video wall to show the weather graphics. https://i.imgur.com/o5L4ZrR.png |

When do we use “binging”?
“Binging” respects the rule that applies to verbs that and in “e”, dropping this last vowel before adding the suffix. This rule applies for most verbs in this situation, and it did for “binge” too, until the ’80s. So, even though dictionaries accept both forms and “binging” is not a misspelling, it became more rarely used than “bingeing” nowadays. It’s recommended that you only use “binging” if you are communicating with an elder person or with someone who prefers old English. When do we use “bingeing”? After 1980, specialists started to prefer to retain the “e” instead of dropping it, and the form “bingeing” became more and more popular. Today, this is the form most recommended in any type of conversation. The reason is very simple --- It's so you keep the G sound when you say "bingeing", otherwise you lose the G sound in "binging". Same deal for singe ---> "singeing" But for cringe it's "cringing" and hinge -> "hinging" (go figure) |

Cring and Hing are not English language words, so it is not the same situation as with Sing and Singe and pronouncing Singing and Singeing.

Which means....binge -> bingeing should have been happening a hell of a lot earlier than the 1980s...
https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...cc8f54cd64.png The increase can be first attributed to more usage in reference to eating disorders (binge and purge) and then binge-watching, which was shortened to bingeing. The more common the word's usage becomes in writing, the more interest there is in the ease and clarity of its presentation. Non-professional writers using the internet making more and more references to binge-watching as bingeing because they wanted to write the word the way it sounded in their heads, not a binging. And then the increased usage becomes so common that it becomes the accepted usage. |
Re: Most attractive person on TV?
I find it odd that I find different answers on this.
When I am Googling it, it says to keep the 'e'. When I am Binging it ... Enough Binging and Googling ... back to ogling and banging. |
