I liked this one a lot. Some good call backs. I can't remember which episode it was that said that mentioned that the bank Barney worked for shut down because of an FBI investigation but it's good to see the payoff.
Yep I brought this up before and completely agree. So stupid of her. I get that she's going to be bummed but it's a no brainer call. It reminds me of Friends. During the last season Rachel wanted to up and move to Paris and take her kid with her. Yeah, because taking a job in Paris and leaving your daughter without a dad makes a ton of sense. People stop chasing career dreams once a child enters into the equation.

I thought Barney's 'truth serum' level of intoxication was going to be some elaborate prank but I guess it wasn't.
Really fun episode overall until Marshall and Lily's finally had their fight. It's not as interesting when you know there's a 0% chance that they're actually going to break up.

RE: Barney's job being an FBI sting that's gone on as long as the series has been running.
when a show is ending, the writers can throw anything they want on screen, and it doesn't have to stand up to scrutiny in futher episodes because there aren't any. The first thing that comes to mind is Cheers' Sam Malone going to therapy for sex addiction, or the fact that he's been wearing a hairpiece for several years. Or how all the events of Arrested Development (before the Netflix revival) were all orchestrated by Annyong in retaliation for the Bluths stealing the frozen banana concept.
You can't really go any further with this Barney storyline, and basically he's out of a job now, but it doesn't matter because the only remaining episodes all take place at Farhampton

If nothing good ever happens after 2am, that must have been when they filmed this episode...nay, season.
This episode was a complete nosedive back into the mediocrity this season seems to wallow in, especially after the zany fun last week brought.

I had a silly moment in this episode -- when the mother addressed the daughter and said "Let's go get you a brother," my immediate reaction was "Aha! So Ted has a daughter and a son!"
Followed, about 15 seconds later by "Yeah, dumbass. They sit on a couch at the begining of half the episodes while Bob Saget bores them with stories about who he was banging 20 years ago."

Judge is a career, likely for life as he would move on to higher levels once he got experience, with a gov't pension at the end
Italy for a year and then what? "The captain" seems like a very fickle person so I could see him dropping her as his art consultant with no warning

I thought that Robin or Ted would ask Barney how many women he slept with, but he just mentioned that in a recent episode, right? I can't remember the number though.
Really liked the episode, especially Marshall throwing Lily dumping him back in her face. Good for him. I'd love to see them breakup but given that we know they are together in the future, that ain't happening (at least it wouldn't last).

There was an earlier episode where he reached 200... so I'd say double that by now?

The mother is not photogenic, but she looks great in the screen. And has a lot of chemistry with Ted.
When they first posted the picture last year, I thought she wasn't attractive. After watching her in the show, I think she's cute.
