One of the first two episodes (and I forget which) was slightly weak. By slightly weak, I mean better than the shit that was last year. The rest of the season has pissed excellence in my book.

This was probably one of the lowest budget episodes of the series, and one of the best.

Loved it. The season started with a couple solid if not spectacular episodes but the show has quickly bounced back to absolute top form. After an entire season of mediocrity this is so refreshing.
Hell, they've even made Chang a great character again.
They've managed to write Pierce off pretty gracefully all things considered; they definitely paid respect to the spirit of the character. I'm not sure about Troy yet (a solo trip around the world, really?) but we'll see what happens.

Not a bad episode, although if that's the send off for Troy i'm a little disappointed. Hope it will lead to something more interesting then sailing around the world.

I really enjoyed this episode. It had me literally laughing out loud a few times, which rarely happens.

This episode alone basically justifies the existence of season 5 in my mine. All I really wanted after last season was one more great episode. Here it was. This is basically the response to anyone who claims that last season wasn't any different than the previous seasons. Nothing last season came close to this. Sure some of it felt a little too much like a playback of season 2's Cooperative Calligraphy (one of the top 5 episodes of the show imho), but that was obviously intentional given the title. It doesn't matter though. This was Community as it should be. It's just too bad that now I'm fully on board and Donald Glover only has one more episode.
Favorite moment: Chang getting up from the table after being asked about masturbating. I thought Jeong nailed that moment from a physical stand point. I'm so glad to have a funny Chang back.
Nitpick: I thought the joke about how Pierce died fell really flat. As much as this season has been a return to form in terms of story direction, structure, emotional weight, etc., I do think that the actual jokes have been hit or miss at times. This was one that didn't work for me.

imo, the main issue last season was the guys really just didn't understand the characters, at all. It was obvious in every episode last season, even the funny-ish ones. Even the ho-humm Re-pilot episode this season had the characters back to their old selves, which was a huge relief.

I hate Chang. Never liked him when Harmon was there originally and especially hated him last season. However, his delivery there was pure awesome.

This episode felt like... I masturbated everywhere. Just awesome.

I'll admit I thought last season was okay, but I can't remember them being able to replicate the rat-a-tat-tat rhythm that seems to come so easy to Harmon and his crew. This episode was pure gold. I realize now how... wrong it was to have Jeff be so damn touchy feely last season, too.

Just an awesome episode. One of the best ones in quite some time.
