That was odd. I'll stick around to see how it develops. I'll admit though that I actually found the raps to be kind of catchy.

I'll give it a couple more weeks. It's closer to eastbound and down than archer when it comes to the sophomoric humor, so keep that in the back of your mind. Nothing deep, but there are a few laughs to be had. Moynihan is way over the top but I like (for the first time ever) Danny McBride and Michael Peña's characters.
And somehow I'm aroused at seeing a topless, thong-wearing cartoon version of Kathryn Hahn.

I didn't even see sophomoric humor ... Bondage mixed with feeding lunch meat to a girl in a PETA shirt? Just dumb.
It's nice to know I'm not off base. I thought I had missed something.

I actually thought it was hilarious. And that was AFTER I'd read more than a few of the comments in this thread. It's definitely very tongue in cheek stuff.
My only question is, was Chozen gay to begin with, or was he sucked into it?

I think he was gay to begin with. In the beginning of the episode wasn't he telling a guy in the crowd how nice his shirt was while ignoring girls?

so now the 'c' word (no, not 'cancer') can be uttered on FX - wow! times a changing.
I liked it, but of course I like 'Brickleberry' too - so sue me.

it's not that it's 'worse' but 'lacking' for a premier first episode it didn't impress or leave an overall good impression - it felt like it wasn't even trying to grab or entice an audience - and who IS this geared towards anyways? gay white rappers? (that's an extreme minority of folk).
it's fascinating that some of these shows piss on the early Bakshi animated films of the 1970's in terms of shock value, explicitness and violence (this, Brickleberry, Drawn Together to name a few) - what animated shows can get away nowadays is really interesting (to his credit, Bakshi's films have better scripts and stories)
