Amazon acquires exclusive rights of Veronica Mars entire TV series

Just in time for the Veronica Mars movie release on March 14th, Amazon has made the cult hit show's three seasons available on-demand to Prime subscribers. Through a deal with Warner Bros, Amazon has secured exclusive rights to the show, in fact, so you won't find it on Netflix, Vudu, and other streaming services. Amazon's Brad Beale said in a press release that the show has been popular on the site for years, which provided further incentive to lock up rights to streaming the show.

Alongside debuting original content of its own, Amazon has also steadily increased its range of exclusive streaming shows like Downton Abbey and Falling Skies. Netflix still dominates the streaming video category, but with shows like Veronica Mars hitting Prime exclusively, it's one step closer to dethroning Big Red.
