Peter
Spoiler:
Bogdonovich
was really random, and kind of silly.

Alicia's line to Will about her changing into the dress she wore the first time he 'banged' her made me laugh.

I loved the Peter Bogdanovich thing! I laughed out loud.

god bless him for remembering. i wouldn't have the foggiest idea what my wife was wearing our first time. i might have a puncher's chance at remembering the state.

i like how Kalinda has the voodoo punanny and makes everyone her bitch. I was actually shocked the cop chick (from My Boys) apologized.

also nice to see Alicia can be rattled in court and isn't all ice all the time.

This was fun.

 Matthew Lillard and the silent guitar player (loved the awkward moment when he tries to embrace Cary.)

- Robyn to the rescue! No need to worry being cut from the payroll.

- Jordana Spiro's detective trying to get Kalinda into Katy Perry - just one reason for Kalinda to dump her ass already.

After finding out the footage had been leaked, Eli's look of devastation in the hallway was almost identical to that of Alicia in discovering Kalinda once slept with Peter. But the out of left field reveal of Marilyn's baby daddy kinda undercut the serious tone of that ending scene...hilarious!!

'The Good Wife' co-creator Robert King explains the inspiration for Marilyn's baby daddy

That was kinda weird to hear Alicia say "when you banged me, the first time". I dont know but I would've never expected Alicia to ever say "bang". lol

I think she was just trying to be graphic so he would be distracted.

Loved the episode...a great follow-up to the mid-season finale.

I like that they did the "Peter" reveal so quickly and didn't milk the red herring like many shows do.

Not a fan of Lillard, but he was perfectly cast here. Wouldn't mind seeing him return in a later episode.

Pace was brisk with the absence of Jackie (my least favorite character on the show) and the kids.

Eli was great, as usual.

Only thing I'm on the fence about this season is Renegade Will. The wanting to expand to NY and LA makes sense and it creates some great tension between Will and Diane, but the tattoo, the tattoo artist lover, and the reckless hire of sketchy Colin (especially in the wake of Will's suspension) seems like their trying too hard to paint will as a post-Alicia Bad Boy. It's making him a bit unlikable (although I LOVED this eps. courtroom "battle" between him and Alicia).

Re: The Good Wife -- "Goliath and David" -- 1/05/14

The grand LG expansion plans are totally unrealistic. There is simply no way a small firm, and that is what they are, just out of a 60 million dollar bankruptcy with the same leadership would ever be able to barrow the capital needed for such quick and rapid expansion.

On top of that there is little chance smaller successful firms in LA and New York would want to merge with LG's failed leadership team.

God, Lillard's looking old, which is especially distressing to me since I was in high school with him (though he was two years ahead of me).

I couldn't figure out who Lillard was until his name appeared in the credits (this show has the longest pre-credits sequence of any show I watch), but then I only know him from the Scooby-Doo movies and The Descendants.

-eek- Did no one in this thread watch The Bridge on FX last summer?

Matthew Lillard was one of the lead characters.

Anyways, I loved loved loved this episode. Great follow up to the midseason finale.

rotfl at the Peter Bogdanovich reveal. That made me laugh really hard.

Some really clever writing regarding the copyright suit. You got to love the writing staff on this show, they really do their research.

 at Alicia using that dress to distract Will and referencing that it was the one she wore the 1st time they banged.

For those unaware, the legal case and the events leading up to it were inspired by this:

The writers and producers do a damn good job on research and even technical details like the sonic fingerprint.

That is awesome.

What was the outcome of this case?

As this ep was playing out, I knew exactly where they were going with this case, which caused me to see if there was any resolution yet. But, far as I can tell, nothing has actually been resolved.

http://www.jonathancoulton.com/2013/...ck-glee-style/

Coulton made his case and basically said "It's up to the lawyers now." He also released a "cover" of his song that he said was "In the style of Glee," ... meaning he rereleased the original track, cut Mix-a-Lot a check for his due royalties and then donated the rest to charity

Thanks, guys, for the info. Interesting stuff.

The first song I thought of when watching the ep. was Dynamite Hack's cover of NWA's Boyz in the Hood.

I was waiting for someone in this thread to finally notice that music video. Took long enough. Pretty cool video. Liked seeing the cast have some fun with that song. I'm guessing most here don't bother playing promotional episode videos in the threads anyways.
