This may be a dumb question, but when Juice was throwing away the evidence in to the dumpster there was a girl pushing a baby stroller in the alley. Was she of any significance?

She's some homeless lady who has shown up in a lot of the finales. This season we found out she was believed killed to be killed in the crash that killed John Teller and her daughter is now hanging out with the club.

I'm going to have to agree with Jimmy James, this finale was one eye-rolling moment after another.

Someone asked me what I expected out of the finale, and I said a 5 minute montage over folk music to begin and end. Nailed it.

a plot contrivance and misunderstanding worthy of Three's Company sets things into motion.
A biker gang member not unfamiliar with murder, disposes of evidence in a dumpster in the town they live in rather than burning it like they have every other time they had murder scene clothes.
at least they have embraced this is a soap opera for men by having all the gang openly weeping at Jax's departure. Thankfully they own an ice cream shoppe, and can drown their sorrows in cherry garcia and talk about which rival gang has the cutest boys.
with the mexican gang moving into stockton, everyone at war in Oakland which will spill over everywhere else, and all sorts of other nonsense all the work Jax did to bring legitimacy and peace will be for nothing.
"
i guess it ends with jax's kids coming into the life and being the new "sons of anarchy". sutter made a witty.

For what was a relatively better season as compared to the past few, this was a lackluster finale. At least no more fucking Tara. She was god damned worthless since the beginning. As much as I liked Roosevelt, he was also worthless lately. So this sets up SOA vs. the Chinese/Mexicans. I guess it'll lead to the inevitable Nero vs. Jax showdown.

I can see it, in the series finale, there is a flash forward and Abel puts on the jacket, is calling a Sons of Anarchy meeting to order and then hits the gavel. Cut to black.

Seemed over-the-top just for the sake of it, from the dove being run over at the beginning to the double murder at the end.
That was the first time I saw the Afterward (presented by Mercedes-Benz) - it was almost like an old cable access show.

Well that was the perfect way to completely fucking destroy Unser's character. The way he has been half-heartedly on both sides all season has been unfucking believable, but what he did to set up the action was completely outside of anything that could remotely be considered an acceptable or character-driven approach to screenwriting. That may be the worst scene I have seen on TV in the recent past, and I watched most of season one of Revolution and a few of the early episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
There is absolutely no fucking way, by the way, that Roosevelt would have been so fucking stupid or that Tara wouldn't have screamed (I mean before the convenient full sink of water). This season was better than the Ireland heap of shit overall, but this finale is the biggest piece of shit writing I may have ever seen, and it made listening to Sutter, his wife, and Siff talking about it like it was somewhere between Breaking Bad and Shakespeare exceptionally painful.
By the way, that voiceover with Jax reading his letter while sitting at Opie's grave was horrid. There isn't a fucking soul on the planet who would actually write that letter using that style and mix of words.

The best news of the night for me was the Justified commercial. I love that show hard core.

Hey Roosevelt, go wait the fuck outside!
And Good thinking Juice! Because once they find some evidence in one trash bin they'll think "fuck it, can't possibly be anything of importance in that other one right next to it!"

In slight defense of Sutter, maybe he's going there with Juice because they're going to try to pin it somehow on dumpster diving chick.

FX ordered a Pilot to be written and produced by Kurt Sutter. Brian Grazer is also involved.
The Bastard Executioner tells the story of a warrior knight in King Edward III’s charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword. But when that violence finds him again he is forced to pick up the bloodiest sword of all.
He's not expected to work on this until Sons of Anarchy wraps it's final season next year. If this Pilot gets picked up, the soonest it could air would be sometime in 2015. Sutter hasn't written it yet, so it was probably bought by FX off a pitch.

Most amazing moment of this episode: No one's been home for days, yet there's a conveniently full sink of water, ready for an attempted drowning!
