Certainly they kept the tension up, as long as you completely suspend all rational belief in anything regarding logic.

Entertaining, but there were alot of face palming moments. Sure am interested to see how the season ends though.

Haha, the theme from Mass Effect 3 as the preview music. That was fucking epic.

I figured he would go through with it. Just not how they intended. Lots of ridiculous stuff but still pretty damn good.

Definitely an intense episode. I thought it would have played out better if they would have stretched this part out some so you actually have some believability that Brody switched sides again.

I can't wait to see for next week to see how absurd the way they come up with to get him out of there is.

Shows need to learn that:
1) Being "unpredictable" is completely predictable when it happens every time
2) There can still be a lot of drama, even if things go according to plan

The episode would have been 10x better with 1/10th the eye-rolling moments had the assassination just gone according to plan. Oh and given the show's recent history it would have actually been more unpredictable too.

Stupid ass Carrie. The CIA is even more stupid for trusting her after she has repeatedly put her lust for Brody over the mission multiple times.

I still love Carrie, but not so much Brody. I just don't think Showtime wants to lose Damien Lewis. What can he possibly add to future seasons?

Quinn is the guy that I want to see working closely with Carrie.

I did need to take a Xanax after watching that episode, though.

Pretty fucking entertaining. The back and forth between whether or not he was still playing for the CIA was nail-biting.

My thing is I wonder if he only ended up killing Akbari after finding out he was almost a dead man himself. After destroying the syringe in the SUV I figured he was enjoying his celebrity status in Tehran and said fuck it.

I really doubt it. The main reason Dana has been a major plot point for so long, pissing off almost everyone but me, is just how close of a bond Brody has to her. According to the producers, it was her phone call that kept him from blowing up the vest. For that and other reasons, I definitely think Brody wanted the redemption he talked about. He's as pig-headed as Carrie, so he wasn't about to quit and probably just naïve not to think the CIA might decide to kill him and move on to other plans.

This is probably my main problem with the show these days, as I KNEW what Brody would do at the end of the show.

It's still entertaining, and it does keep your interest for 50 minutes, but I still believe that by keeping Brody alive, the show has become predictable, and I would say its getting redundent.

How many times is Carrie going to stick by Brody's side while Saul and the CIA want him killed on the show? It's the same crap every week, and I really feel if they had just written Brody off the show last year, and went through this whole Iran Plot Point this year with a new character, then it would be much fresh and entertaining.

It was pretty entertaining.

Yet again, another episode when I want to slap Carrie. Business as usual. I'm sure it's already a joke in the set. But Saul at least still sounds really mad.

Yeah, Carrie disobeys orders and somehow that helps the CIA do whatever they were trying to do.

I'm sure Claire Danes, and the writers, truly believe that the majority of the people are rooting for Carrie and Brody...

Am I the only one that from the previous is guessing that

Spoiler:
Brody dies?
I mean, I know, they want to "surprise" us, you all thought that he would die, and he's alive!
But I think that would be a good ending for Brody and the season. He can die as a hero, he will never be a hero being alive.

I enjoy the fact that they continually build Brody up as some sort of super-agent yet when he actually needs to take someone out he does it Neanderthal style -- bash, choke, smother, etc. When he was a Marine sniper did he just line someone up in his sights and then run 200 yards to hit them in the head with the butt of the rifle?

Frustrating, yet entertaining episode. The last 15 minutes or so were pretty intense indeed. Despite the implausibilities (what's new?), it set the stage for what should be, a pretty good season finale.

I didn't think it was a big secret that
Spoiler:
Brody is going to die
at the end of this season...its not like anyone involved with the show is being coy about it. All that is secret is how it's going to happen.

I love how getting Brody into Iran is a major operation that causes the death of one special forces guy, and the maiming of another. But when Carrie wants to get into Iran, she just dyes her hair and magically appears in a fine Tehran hotel.

He destroyed the syringe because he couldn't use it at that point, and he surely be shot if he was caught with it.

Not to mention by now every villain should know what Carrie looks like.

I like the show and it did pick up after starting off slow as hell. But, I agree that Brody has to die soon so they can move on. I wouldn't mind seeing a show like this having someone new every season... with some agents dying others just moving on to other things.

If only they had an actual Iranian working in the office that they could have sent instead!

I don't think it's a disconnect that it might just be a little harder to sneak "the most wanted person in the world" into Iran than it is for an intel operative.

Yeah, Brody is going to be noticed. He's a wanted terrorist who blew up the CIA headquarters and the focus of an international manhunt. He really can't move through airports, customs, and hotels like Carrie can. He gets spotted and the jig is up.

I don't think Fara has enough experience to run an operation like this; she's more of an analyst who works in an office and digs through paperwork and computer files. Though she would have been useful for assuaging her uncle's concerns about the operation.

I know that Danes thinks everyone likes the Carrie/Brody relationship, but I have a really hard time believing that is true. I thought it would have been really cool if he DID flip sides again, and especially if it was revealed that he actually was behind and in on the CIA bombing but they want him to be some sort of hero.

Still it was an absorbing episode.
