Good episode with a few surprises!
We're John and the professor exchanging looks like they knew something?
Perhaps Steven's dad has trapped part of himself in "limbo"?
Jed now knows Cara hasn't lost her powers.
Jed knows the group have Tim.
I totally thought John hit his target in the present.
At the very end - was that supposed to mean in John's state he wasn't able to keep anybody out and Steven was able to see what Cars couldn't? That means Steven know John "killed" his dad.

This series has turned into a rather dependable piece of entertainment. I like the mix of powers because it limits the possibility of dumb new powers, which is what happened on Heroes.

The Steven's dad plot suddenly reminds me of the final issue of Planetary where they rescue Ambrose Chase (who stopped time to save himself).

This is only just screening in the UK. We're on episode 9.
I just read that today on wikipedia, not having realised the connection.
I have to say that I was appalled by the turn of events taken in this episode.
Cara showing herself to Jed first as still living with the rest of the group and then revealing that she still had her powers was utterly ridiculous. Being involved in the mission in the original mission to read Jed's mind was also needlessly risky. They're really showing themselves as none too smart.
If many more episodes are as poorly thought through I can see myself dropping the show for something more rewarding.
