Using the same technique to get rid of Woods (the ark bit, not the reeses) was kind of lame. I think James Woods as a sort of Sideshow Bob character for the show would be great, but if they reuse the Raiders joke every time he's on, it will stink.

I was hoping they might go with another Indiana Jones. Have Peter still say the "He's being examined by top men. TOP men" line, then cut to the priest from Temple of Doom ripping out Woods' heart or something.

Other than the weak G.I. Jose opening and the ending, I loved it.

Cant believe nobody brought up the spiderman web Premature ejac joke. That was the bright spot of a pretty weak episode.
Also Peter swallowing mini-me was pretty funny.

Yeah. I'm pretty ambivalent about the Family Guy, but that was really, really funny.

Personally, I thought those were 2 of the weakest jokes of the night.

Family Guy -- "Play It Again, Brian" -- 03/02/08

"Play it Again, Brian"
Spoiler:
Peter and Lois's marriage hits a bit of a snag. When Brian wins the New England Rising Writer's award, the three of them head to Martha's Vineyard for a nice relaxing vacation. Peter's usual drinking habits take over, and he soon spirals out of control, as does Brian's self restraint, as he soon professes his love for Lois. Peter and Brian test their friendship over the woman of their dreams.

"I even had room to twirl a cane as I strolled."

The biggest laugh came as Herbert was reading Chris a bedtime story and the moral was how something scary can turn out to be something fun, and Chris asked, "Are you a pedophile?"

Great episode. The best part was the "Damn Nature, You Scary" part.

I only caught the first 2 minutes because my DVR didn't adjust for stupid Fox preempting it for whatever lame sporting event aired earlier. Also missed The Simpsons cause of it. It's the damn 21st century...can't the cable companies figure out how to automatically adjust their own DVRs when shows star late?? C'mon people!

It was a small bit but Peter talking about Fruit Striped Gum was

That dammn gum's flavor lasted like 10 chews!

That Massachusetts song brought back a ton of memories... I don't know what it was about late 70s and early 80s and travel commercials "I love NY" "Poconos" "Virginia is for lovers" "Massachusetts"

Stewie: So, what happened sport? Come on, talk to your pal Stewie.
Brian: Alright, but only because I've gotta tell somebody. I pretty much just threw myself at Lois.
Stewie: So, you finally did it huh? Well look Brian, as your friend, I should tell you that that vagina is ground zero man. I mean I just wrecked that thing on the way out, and just to be a jerk, I carved "Brooks was here" in the wall. Did you see that? Did you see "Brooks was here."
Brian: We didn't have sex.
Stewie: Of course with Chris going before me I pretty much just walked outta there. Didn't even have to stoop over. There was even room to twirl a cane as I strolled.
Brian: You're exaggerating.
Stewie: Only a little bit! That's the messed up thing.

Meg and Herbert's "I'm a 17 year old girl, and I don't need you here." "You're a 17 year old girl, and I don't need you here!" exchange was pretty great.

Also loved the part where Lois and Peter make the same joke and start laughing together and then Peter gets all aggressive laughing in her face and then shifts to look in the camera laughing. That was unexpectedly hilarious.

This episode aired again tonight, but it seems that Seth MacFarlane has reedited the episode, as this was one of the episode that FOX completed without him during the strike. A few of the cutaways have changed, like Peter walking into Quagmire's book club has been taken out while a cutaway with Brian and Stewie watching an internet video has been added. They also added a Michael Richards bit to the Late Show sequence.

FOX did advertise the episode as having new footage. We'll see if they do this with all the episodes FOX finished.

The spider-man gag is still in it.
