I thought the Kool-Aid guy reference was probably the best use of a reference they have ever done so far so I have to disagree there. "Oh no, oh on, oh no" Kool-Aid guy busts in, "Oh Yeah!"

i thought this episode was funny in how it made fun of itself. the whole "i hate shows that cut away", and the argument between Lois and Peter when he makes a horrible analogy. You expect them to show the analogy like they always do, but they just argue about how it made no sense. I liked that.

But after I saw the FG format of the references they got old quick.

And half the reason why I find absolutely nothing funny about the show is that I don't get any of the TV show references, or sometimes it's a dumb commercial or something from the past that I have no clue what it is. Even if I got the references (actually , they aren't even references, it just blatantly swipes something from the past), it is so mind-numbing, how the humor is just the same redundant joke over & over & over again on this show. The lack of intelligence in the writing & ephasis that the viewer is nothing but a television-raised vegetable makes my soul bleed.
Your hatred for the show is also too funny coming from someone who loved The Devil's Rejects, which was a steaming pile of shit with shitty writing, shitty directing, shitty acting, shitty characters, etc. That movie was a waste of time and celluloid, but you loved it and that is ok. Every episode of Family Guy is brilliant compared to that Rob Zombie POS, IMO.
Some people just have no sense of humor and instead of admitting this they usually go into denial and insult the series and/or its fans. If you like The Devil's Rejects or House of a 1000 Corpses.

I missed this the first time. The portrail of Texas was great, and Brian shooting the superdevil had me rolling.

You know, I saw family guy on TBS HD and swore it actually was in HD (in part thanks to the fact the colors were way better, lines cleaner, and end credits really sharp and small on the left hand side of the screen.)
Was the episode where Peter goes to Washington and they kill a stripper. Family Guy in HD, who knew.

Wow. I just watched this on Adult Swim and there's an entire sequence that never aired on Fox where Quagmire kills the entire Simpsons family off screen. Holy cow, it wasn't only unfunny (IMO) but it was pretty shocking (again IMO).

I also caught this tonight on Adult Swim and didn't remember the Quagmire bit from the original broadcast. It was really, quite terrible. The only thing Valeyard left off is it starts with Quagmire's attempted rape of Marge. Attempted rape and then murder... real funny.

Oh yeah! I think I was still numb after seeing the bit and forgot to mention it. There's pushing the line and then there's "Not cool." This definitely was "Not Cool."

There's the segment in question. And yeah, it's not funny and not in good taste, even for Family Guy.

My wife and I both felt it went beyond shock comedy into "not funny" territory. Pretty much started there with the whole "rape them until they like it" bit with Quagmire and Marge. My boundaries are pretty far out there, but this still managed to pass them.
