They only have one or two Meg episodes a season now and all the other times she speaks maybe one or two lines an ep. Granted, she isn't that interesting as a character, but seems like she's gotten a reduced role with each passing season over the past several years.

Whats her face who does Megs voice is becoming a bigger star. Perhaps she only agreed to a p/t role?

Family Guy (FOX) -- Discussion Thread (Season 12 and beyond)
I don't think there's enough discussion to warrant weekly threads anymore, so here's the Season 12 thread.
Tonight's episode was hilarious. The gags were firing on all cylinders, which is something I haven't felt in a long time. Really surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
Is Seth MacFarlane the only one who can get away with 9/11 jokes? There was another one, tonight, and I'm guessing besides the whole "pushing the envelope" thing he's known for is he kind of gets a pass since he's one of the more famous celebrities associated with it.

Bump for tonight. One of the main family members dies tonight. I don't know if it's a permanent death, though. I think the safe bet is Meg.

That was unexpected. Meg would have made sense, as Mila Kunis no longer does much with this show anymore. I have a feeling this isn't permanent. Vinnie won't catch on that well, despite Tony Sirico doing a good job with the character.

Its probably a multipart episode just not with the 'to be continued' bit. They've already stated how they'll get Brian back. They just have to show this new dog being a jerk to get Stewie to get back to fixing the time machine.

Did Meg even speak this episode? Seems she does so little they could get her in for a few hours a month and record multiple episodes worth of her lines.

I'm with people here who didn't even know a member of the family was being killed tonight. I really doubt that it's going to be permanent though. At least I hope not because Brian and Stewie are basically the only reasons I watch the show.

I read this quote -
Nope! This is just as bad.
Yeah, they need to fix this.
Steve explains that killing off a human member of the family would be “too traumatic,” so the writers settled on the dog.
Yeah, they need to fix this.

May as well kill Stewie too since they only seem to work as a pair.

I can't believe this will be a permanent thing. Surely in an episode or two, Stewie will fix his time machine.

I don't really care for Vinnie, he seems like cartoon character.
Brian has been the anchor of the show for years, not sure how this will work.

I'm betting on a "Christmas miracle" as Stewie doesn't need to build a new time machine, he just needs to meet himself wherever he went to find out about the upcoming "hot" Xmas toys.

You don't post here often but I always get a smile on my face when you do. That number will be forever burned into my brain. My friends all gave me a weird look when PO hit Wii VC and I jumped right in entering the code.
