Synopsis:

"Keep Your Enemies Closer" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DV) (HDTV)

DIGGLE GOES AFTER DEADSHOT - Amanda Waller (guest star Cynthia Addai-Robinson) sends A.R.G.U.S. agents to kidnap Diggle (David Ramsey). Waller informs Diggle that Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) has gone missing after following a lead on Deadshot (guest star Michael Rowe) in Moscow. When Diggle tells the team he's headed to Russia to rescue Lyla, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) decide to join, but things get messy when Isabel (guest star Summer Glau) shows up on the tarmac and insists on joining Oliver's "work trip." Meanwhile, Moira's (Susanna Thompson) lawyer, Jean (guest star Teryl Rothery), tells Thea (Willa Holland) that dating Roy (Colton Haynes), a known criminal, is hurting her mother's case. Guy Bee directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Beth Schwartz (#206).

Episode 6 of 23

Tonight is supposed to be a Diggle centered episode. Amell mentioned it on his Facebook page.

Man, I hope Amell crosses over into the big screen as Green Arrow.

Thanks for the major spoiler. (I guess I would have found this out from all the fansites I read anyways, but still):(

Good episode btw. I especially liked Diggle with the Bing search for H.I.V.E.

Felicity seemed really hurt that Oliver would sleep with Isabel. I did like that he said he didnt feel like he could be with anybody he actually could care about.

Arrow eps without Laurel just might revolutionize television

 Awesome episode. I actually liked that it was centered on Diggle.

Interesting reveal that Lyla was Diggle's ex. That whole prison adventure was pretty cool. I really like Audrey Marie Anderson. Hope she continues to recur on the show.

 at Diggle searching "H.I.V.E." on Bing. Nice little sponsorship plug. I like that Deadshot is still alive and could come back at some point.

Pretty freaking obvious now about Felicity having the hots for Oliver. She really seemed disappointed that Ollie slept with Isabel.

 at Isabel antagonizing him about her short skirts.

Oliver: "They aren't that short"

I was wondering why I was enjoying this episode so much when I realized that it wasn't bogging down in the worthless Laurel storyline.

This was another fun episode, though Deadshot's eye laser was very conveniently located for him when he left the prison. We didn't get to see enough of Summer Glau in this episode. They probably could have expanded the Russian storyline into two episodes.

They have a skinny Amanda Waller. Big girls need to acting jobs also. Stop giving all their parts to skinny girls.

Unfortunately that's how Amanda Waller looks in DC's retconed New52.

Wow, I guess all the DC women need to be sexy. There was this one cartoon that had Lex Luther falling in love with the over weight Waller. I kind of dug that in a different kind of way.

I really hate the new 52. I mean, we already had a great actor in CCH Pounder to play The Wall.

Fuck this skinny Waller bullshit.

Great episode. I didn't realize the actress playing Diggle's wife was from The Unit though, man she looks different with long hair.

Bet great episode, the action was really well done, and even though GA basically took a back seat. It's nice to see a Diggle centric episode. I also liked how he just typed in H.I.V.E in Bing like it was no big deal. Due to Deathstrokes attachment with H.I.V.E in the comics, I wonder if that is how we meet Slade Wilson in the present?

BTW: Any else catch yet another mention of the Central City particle accelerator?

i was disappointed Thea didn't just tell Abercrombie that they have to lay low while mom is on trial instead of bullshitting him.

I was also kinda hoping she would show some backbone and not only refuse to break up with Roy, but spin a story for the press like "our family is cool with the glades, i let one of its inhabitants defile me nightly"

i am not familiar with the comics, so there is suspense to me on things. i wonder if shadoe and slade end up getting it on. i wonder if diggle is on some super-soldier serum, as the brother is built like a tank. when he was shirtless, i threw my panties at the screen and i am guy.

all episode i secretly referred to this as a "doctor lite" episode.

ollie's mom is built too. maybe she is on super soldier serum?

You'd seriously have to not be paying attention to the show at considering how they're hammering it over our heads about that fucking particle accelerator, the protest around it and the potential super powers it could create.

I missed it (shows you how close I was paying attention). When did they mention it?

Can we all agree to put casting news in spoiler tags? Pretty sure that's the norm in other series episode threads.

Another solid episode. I've had a major crush on Summer Glau since Firefly, so pretty awesome having her as a regular.

This. This episode especially seemed like a great balance of the show's main players...we got another tidbit of Deathstroke's origin, just enough of Roy and the rest of Oliver's fam, more Black Canary origin story, plenty of Diggle and his ongoing fight with One-Shot, etc. And no Laurel (and pant-suits),

Glau isn't a regular. The Isabel character is only recurring.

They purposely made the character skinny in the New 52 comic book universe so a thin actress could play her in the eventual Justice League movie. Every single decision in the New 52 DCU was made with an eye on film adaptations. I think it diminishes the character and her history, but Hollywood gets what it wants.

I'm surprised no one noticed that Waller is played by Cynthia Addai-Robinson, who played psycho bitch Naevia on Spartacus.

I've mentioned it a few times already and I don't know if people here are actually watching or if it's going to deaf ears.

I know Michael Corvin, who is interested in this show, refuses to pay for Netflix since they split their streaming and DVD business, so he has to wait for a decent price on the BD.

TimeandTide is the only poster who has actually acknowledged that he got into the show and is now caught up after the positive remarks here.
