Every single episode this season has been extended so far. FX loves Kurt Sutter. And they rightfully should.

And yet again Gemma will get the most screentime of any character on the show. Sigh.

No. There was one episode of a normal length of about 45 minutes.

Don't know what you're implying. You can just go to Amazon Instant and it will tell you episode length without commercials.

Solid episode. Tar-Tar's tits looked great. I always love her ass. I just wanted to tit fuck her. And Jax is really going for the cougar. I wonder how many diseases that guy has.

This show has more music videos than MTV at this point.

That, and over the past decade most hour-long dramas clock in at about 44 minutes without commercials. I don't think the math is that difficult. And, before all of these stupid extended episodes that's how long past season epsiodes have ran.

There's also something now called iTunes. You can buy the episodes usually within a few hours of their PST airtimes. No commercials, either.

I wondered if Jax mentioning not wanting the next day to be a 45 minute gun fight was a reference to episode length.

There was a famous shootout between bank robbers & cops in Hollywood around 1997 that lasted 44 minutes, that's what he meant.

Although if Galen O'Shea was there, it would take about 5 minutes.

North Hollywood actually. Less than 2 miles from where they film Sons coincidentally.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Huang Wu" -- 11/12/13

I must admit I was yelling "Jesus Christ" while watching the car chase/gunfight thinking how are the Chinese not hitting anything with those automatic weapons. Thankfully, there was a reason behind it.

I thought this was a good episode and it is definitely ratcheting things up to the Clay/Irish/Sons/DA/jailbreak/Chinese shootout. Random speculation but with the Chinese involved I wonder if Jax uses them to kill Galen to weasel out of the deal he set up with Claudette (whatever her character name is) and the Sons would also not be viewed as ratting out the Irish (to avoid blowback). Of course Sutter tends to try to keep juggling as many balls as possible, so it is probably far more likely it is the complete opposite of that.

I am tired of the seemingly endless Tara/Wendy/Gemma stuff - I get that the fate of the kids is a key part of the story, but maybe they can just shorten that storyline or put it on the back burner until it is really needed?

That Katie Sagal song used for the first montage was awful. Does she fuck him more the more he puts her in his show?

Katie Sagal should never ever ever never sing again, ever.

This season has been abysmal. I pretty much only watch the show for guest spots now.

I'm thinking he brings all 3 groups together for 1 all out fire fight - guards, Irish and Chinese. Irish gets weakened. Chinese are out of the way. Maybe Clay gets killed. And Claudette is grateful to take out 2 problems and she becomes Jax's ally.

On a more somber note, who thinks Tara commits suicide? She seemed real despondent as she walked out of the DA's office.

I don't think the season has been abysmal but the fact the Gemma is the most prominent character on the show is seriously mind boggeling. Did Sutter seriously have his wife singing on the show? And these extended episodes are just another fiasco for an already bloated show.

Wasn't the first time. Think it's happened at least 4 times now.

And yeah, WAY too much Gemma. She needs to be relegated to the deep background, along with the rest of the family bullshit and make this show actually about the gang. Seriously, Sutter's driving this show with his dick, and not in a good way.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Huang Wu" -- 11/12/13

I'm loving this season so far, but yeah, a montage at the beginning and at the end is just ridiculous. I, too, was glad to hear the Chinese weren't trying to hit anyone, but it really felt like the A-Team at the time it was going down. Plus there's just no way those guys on those big bikes could ever hope to outrun/outmaneuver the Chinese in their SUVs, esp. when the hit the gravel, but whatever.

I guess I didn't like the Tara catching Jax in the act part. Too forced, with Juice giving her the address (Really? Thanks Juice), and up until then it had seemed like maybe she was the one who went way overboard with her little stunt. Now she just feels justified and hopeless. Why couldn't Claudette tell her there was actually a better deal for her in the works?

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Huang Wu" -- 11/12/13

Juice gave Tara the address on purpose so that she would catch Jax there. His bit of revenge against her for running over him and for what she's been doing. It was a dick move in my opinion, but there it is.
