I like how they are atleast trying to use all the SHIELD agents they've shown in the movies or one shots.

Decent episode, although I wish they would fight villains from the comics instead of generic bad guys every week.

Coulson is a "robot version of himself."

Agreed!

This show has gotten better with each episode. Really glad I didn't give up on it after the first two.

I guess Lizzie could kill, drag, and burn the bodies all by herself. It didn't seem that hard for Jemma.

^Oh, for a moment there, I thought Simmons did more damage to that SHIELD Agent she shot!

I liked how they handled Fitz in this. I thought the actor did a good job for his part.

I'm still feeling like they aren't pulling the trigger in incorporating the grand Marvel universe as a whole. Yeah, next week we get some film tie-in/clean up. But this whole centipede stuff just needs to be dropped and they need to cement either Hydra or A.I.M as the grander evil. You see SHIELD be all powerful, you gotta give them some purpose, or at least name drop a bit more.

Till they do, Arrow will be the better comic television show that takes those risk when other comic shows can't.

Speculation about Captain America 2 and it's relation to Agents of SHIELD and a possible season 2:
Spoiler:
I wonder if they aren't doing anything with Hydra or AIM is because of what's going to happen in Winter Soldier. From the trailer it looks like we may see a darker more sinister SHIELD. We've already seen Fury go up against his bosses a little in the Avengers movie. I wonder if the team we're seeing in this show might possibly be his or possibly Coulson's team against SHIELD, sort of like the Secret Warriors from 4 or 5 years ago. By showing the distrust in last night's episode they may be setting up the all powerful SHIELD as the evil ones.

Victoria Hand and a vintage concept from the comic books? I'm shocked.

I was not expecting to see Victoria Hand, which was great. Osborn walking in would have been perfect.

I liked the mention of Barton and Romanov too.

Thought this was anothe good episode. Liked that this started in the middle if a mission and they didn't backpedal it to an earlier time,

They even mentioned the Triskelion. A very nerd-pleasing episode.

Casting of Hand seemed a little too old for me. Plus she looked HUGE next to coulson. other than that, another good "team-building" episode. interactions with ward and fitz were great.

I sort of find myself scratching my head and wondering why they weren't going to extract Fitz and Ward when it wasn't that difficult at all to pull off.

Simple dramatic tension, or is SHIELD up to something else?

Toward the end of the episode, didn't Victoria say to one of her minions something about Coulson's team not needing an extraction plan?

I'd like to see one episode that does not mention the Avengers movie in any way.

And Coulson's response should have been "Barton and Romanov don't need extraction teams."

Actually, I believe Sony only has Film rights to Spider-man. TV rights are in the hands of Disney.

Re: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. -- "The Hub" -- 11/12/13

Liked this ep.quite a bit. Had a lot of the intelligent humor one comes to expect from Whedon series, as opposed to zingers. I guess we are meant to infer that May is the SHIELD agent that brought Skye to the orphanage? She's obviously not also her mother, as she seemed to wonder about that herself.

I would love to run a train with Skye and Simmons.
