Yeah, it sucks that the show is likely going to ultimately give the Canary role to Laurel, as she lacks the other gal's physicality and human skull. It doesn't surprise me that Lotz has a dance background as it puts her in good company with Michelle Yeoh and some other action starlets.

Our only hope to avoiding the Orange Canary is that the character goes by "Laurel" and not "Dinah". Maybe Sara goes by her middle name, too.

It's possible for a CW series to change up its pre-determined lead romance. Damon certainly wasn't intended to be Elena's love interest when the show first began and that is their most popular show. They did keep Lana on Smallville long after the character had become useless, but execs were nervous much of the audience would tune out if she left Clark.

Laurel becomes expendable if they could swing a viable Green Arrow romance with her sister.

completely agree. she is really amazing to watch. the show continues to be fantastic in its action scenes.

For what is being asked and expected of Caity Lotz, I think she's done a solid job.

It's believed that Lotz will eventually become a series regular.

Even though the Sarah character has "left" Starling, she's still making appearances on the ship flashbacks, so technically she really hasn't gone anywhere.

Now we have to find out what happened to Slade and Shado.

Article does answer some questions. Interesting to read it now, and know what it is that they weren't revealing and why. Specifically her name.
I found it interesting that they never called Sara's other identity anything. Just the girl in the mask. She herself said she took the name Canary. not Black Canary, just Canary.

You mean her obvious fight, double, right? The only way to have made it even more obvious that someone else was doing the actual fighting is if they had put a man in her costume.
